I need some help!! Go to the youtube click li led below and fast forward to 3:00. You will hear the guy say something about a radar detector. Its mounted in the engine bay, and apparently leads underneath the dash. I have never seen anything like this before.

Can anyone tell me who makes this?
Thanks!!

I'll bet that's a radar sensor for braking purposes.

[Edit] Wrong again... :)

I'm pretty certain that it is the front RADAR antenna for a K40 RL360i or RL360di system. Take a look at the fins and shape in this image vs. what can be seen in that Youtube video. If I recall, the RL360i system is made by Attowave in Korea, and is built off the same horn and DSP as the Uniden DFR platform (DFR6/7). The feature set is very limited, and they offer their dealers and installers huge margins. You can find better systems for the same price point by other manufacturers.

Not to mention it likely is positioned behind the vehicle front grill which I suspect is not a flat planar plastic surface.

Yeah probably k40... Not the best remote unit for sure... Netradar, radenso RC-M, escort 360CI would be better choices for installed systems these days.
