So it looks like 3 is city yellow and 5 is city red using defaults. On the R1/3 its roughly 17%. How does that relate to the ALP/NR setup!? Anyone ever test it!?

EDIT: I'm curious because I'm used to x BSMs in city mode and run advanced at 60/70% normally on the R1 so wanted to match it up if possible somewhat.

I think it's signal strength level to make it alert. If you use the App you can see there's about 10 bars of signal strength on the indicator, so if you had a 3 in city yellow then to there would have to be a signal strong enough to indicate 3 bars.

I think it's hard to get an exact correlation between that approach and the R series that supposedly reduces sensitivity but it should be somewhat related at least at the lower numbers (1-5).

Interesting... Would that explain why I saw some signals coming through as muted when I switched to the app until I unmuted them!?

Ya, on the App the City Red or Yellow icon will blink showing there's a signal there that would alert if in Highway mode. I like that part because you can at least tell something is going on signal wise under the alert threshold.

I agree its a good feature but without me knowing of said feature I thought I muted it somehow on the first test drive! :lolhit: But yeah I run Waze on top so I was confused when I went back I guess. Thanks for the super clarification. What do you use btw for settings!?

I use 4 for yellow and 7 for red.
Times 4-5 is more that sweet spot for inter-loop highway and red for real city roads. BSMs are the issues I see between them loops, so changing to Red when bumper to bumper helps shutting up them punch-through BSMs..., Highway does well with the standard filters, when it comes to more open road driving.
