Tell your worst speed trap story. The worst one you've ever encountered and if you squeaked by or you got hit with a ticket.

My worst was traveling back from visiting family in OH on RT 76. Of course it has to be OH. We were just outside Akron and I had a X band hit on my V1 and slowed right down. What I encountered stunned me. I saw a Akon PD B&W backed up on like a 45 degree incline parked under a bridge shooting down the highway almost vertical. While that was strange enough when I traveled past him @PSL I looked to my right and saw 5-8 black and white's just lined up on the off ramp waiting to "get the call" as a chase car to ticket the offender. It was like industrialized speed enforcement. Since then I nicknamed that tactic "the meat grinder". My V1 saved my bacon that day with no ticket.

That's kind of terrifying since I usually turn off my X band.
I usually classify my speed traps stories into best speed trap story in where I get by without a ticket and my worst speed trap stories where I get a ticket.
My worst speed trap story happened 4 years ago in Kansas where a highway patrol was coming around what I think was Kansas's only corner at highway speeds using instant on.
My best speed trap stories are every time when I get on the road and don't get a ticket!

Last time I got stopped was on the way to church with my wife in my MX-5 where a cop was 600 yards behind me and stopped me for speeding. No radar, traffic was moving 10-15 MPH under, no way to time me since he was too far away. Didn't get a ticket but my wife, which she rarely does, was complaining about me speeding for weeks afterwards. That didn't last too long, she drives faster than I do in town. I've been stopped for speeding 4 times with her in the car in the past 10 years and the only ticket that I got was that Kansas trip.

In CA, 101n north of Santa Barbara. 1 mile straight away downhill speed limit slows at the top, leo is parallel parkef in the trees with only his side mirror visible and the instant on handheld radar gun. Nabbed me for PS plus 20.

Ugh, isn't that a 45 zone with the KA band speed sign on the southbound lanes?

Well this is why Not all cops are bad... check this out I hadn't had any radar equipment countermeasures I mean, i was in Virginia, on 95 south coming back from Fredericksburg back in 2000, I was doing 85 to 90 mph Did Not realize i was flying because i was the only one on the highway at 2am... I had a brand new F150 Truck, state police pulls me.. I explained to him I was dead wrong and deserved to go to jail and lose my license.. GUESS what?? No ticket, he told me in 30 years of being a cop none ever admitted fault the way I did.. so he ran my license to make sure I didn't have any warrants and he let me go... I win

By the way I never saw him at all, I don't know where he was hiding, but I will tell you he popped out of nowhere, Not that I was looking for cops anyway.. because even though I was flying it wasn't intentionally... LOL 🤣🤣

My worst was in CT in 2013. I was out of work early heading home for something... Rt 8 northbound coming into the naugatuck area. Had a LLH keeping even with a car in the right lane at PSL+5 for the last mile... Finally had just enough room to wiggle past him and got up to about 85 doing it... there was just a slight curve to the road and just as I came around that slight curve I spotted a CT stat police parallel ahead, the Vector 940 screamed laser (didn't know about jammers at this point) and I was on the brakes fast but got pulled. He got me at 85 in a 55, but clean record and I was nice and polite. He wrote me for +9. I didn't fight that one. In the years of driving that road I never saw a cop in that spot again. There was a spot about 2 miles farther up that was dirty and I saw them there all the time but never where I got tagged...

Three A.M. on a Saturday morning, Indiana Toll Road just west of I-69. Working 2nd shift in western Ohio and still living in SW Michigan, headed home for the weekend. Tagged by an unmarked Indiana State Trooper who was running VASCAR at 86 in a 55. Three of us were pulled over at the same time. Nothing from the Escort. Got a warning.

Pulled for 67 in a 65. Young cop was fishing for something bigger, had the nerve to tell me to slow down with a verbal warning.

Funny thing is I had a car full of friends and a trunk full of alcohol and weed. I was probably 17 or 18 at that time.
