Hey everyone!
This is an effort to bring awareness to a growing issue. I (and others) have experienced an uptick in LEO frequencies that broadcast in the same ranges as Blind-Spot-Monitoring from many newer vehicles.

Above is a poll with some wider than normal BSM frequency ranges to select from. This should cover variations in detectors, if any.
Please select ranges that you have seen LEO's using. (I wish you could select each one numerous times.)

I have a few recent verified LEO examples below from my own logs.

The vast bulk of my legit K LEOs have been between 24.115 and 24.157. But I've had two low ones;
24.094 Sheriff Madisonville Tennessee
24.104 Poteau Oklahoma Police
never any high ones in the notch filter/k-block range. Not that I've noticed anyway.

That's personal data compiled over a few years from pretty extensive work travels in everything from small rural towns to large cities in AR, TN, KY, MO, KS, OK, TX, LA, MS, and several quick road trips through NM, AZ, CA, AL, GA.

I've been using the NetRadar notch filter since it's release in January, and currently using K-block on the R. The juice is definitely worth the squeeze for me.

My local PD has 4 (shudder) Stalker Patrols now (& still run 4 Stalker duals) the lowest frequency is 24.080, then 24.115, 24.135, and lately one that puts out 24.145

EDIT...............should note that the low one actually puts out anywhere from 24.080 to 24.090, but is usually at the low end (I know which vehicle is which, so there's no question that it's different patrol units)

In front of you but behind a Rabbit
County Sheriff's in North Georgia seem to run on the Odd one hundreds:

24.130
24.150
24.170
24.190

The 24.130 was directly almost side by side verified as he was getting gas one row over at the QT in Jasper, GA and QT does not have auto door openers.
The other three were visuals with them stationary CO clocking traffic or coming toward me in the oncoming lane. No buildings around plus very low likelihood of possible BSM. All steady ramp up to a continuous strong signal with normal type Police Radar behavior of signals after passing.

So far, all GHPs I have recorded are on Ka 34.7 or 35.5. Sad thing is in North Georgia that I run into one or two Cobra RDs every single trip up or back.

My encounters with MASP have been all over the place, but nothing on the extreme ends. K narrow would have gotten all of them.

Orange, CT was a 24.17 hit. It was from a Taurus. The rest of their units run Stalker 34.7

Wallingford, CT was a 24.12 from a marked Explorer. Antennas mounted on the rear window looked like Kustom patch antennas. I thought it was a Mazda CX-5 at first

Great post. Thanks for the topic @BlueV1. Studying your pics, and comments. I have seen K band within in the three choices of K you have. Don’t have a app log for exact frequencies. I also do believe they are doing what you say.

Today, Fishers LEO has someone pulled over. Most the time they leave the radar transmitters going while processing ticket. With the R7 I drove right past with no warning. First thought was I had the “notch filter” on. Did it block the real radar? I don’t think so. Reports in RDF have already shown real LEO running within the notch range, yet the LEO punched through. Led to thinking/guessing something more than pure notch filter was going on. There is also static testing of adjusted tuned Bushnell or real LEO models on top of some BSM frequencies. Too late to dig those out. Seemed like for most models of RD the real radar came through with the filtering on. We should do more testing on road in this area. Run the “real” radar, while having known BSM right beside moving with the vehicles with the RD being tested. There was some great talk on this. Plus punch lists of possible testing scenarios.

Most of what I see in suburbs outside Chicago is under 24.160. All frequencies are what was displayed on my R3
24.128 - La Grange Park, IL
24.108 - Evergreen Park, IL
24.157 - Brookfield, IL (This unit may be new I noticed it for the first time yesterday)
24.123 - Oak Brook, IL
I have noticed others but those are the only ones I have saved in my notes, and which I know to be true alerts.
A couple of friends who I know in the area tend to ignore K-band but it is still around, I came here because the Brookfield K band alert was new. I drove right past the officer who had just pulled someone over.

The majority of my K-band encounters are in the 24.110 to 24.223 range from the department where I live. I haven’t encountered any police K-band in the 24.196 to 24.204range (thankfully).

Were you running K Narrow or Wide during this encounter?

Isn't 24.207 outside of narrow's range? Serious question. :)

I can't remember unfortunately. Has anybody tested narrow / wide ranges on the R7?

Literally just got hit with a 24.183 in Seneca South Carolina. I never knew they even used K band here. Glad I've kept it on.

I'd expect it to be the same as the R1/3, but the R7 manual doesn't say what the range of frequencies is.
