Just got my ALPs, wanting to see if they work alright and the installation is good. Anyone can help out testing the jammers?

Im sure we can arrange something for you. Plenty of people here in Ca. What kind of car did you install in and how many heads? Do you have pics of the install you can share with us? :)

It's an E63 Wagon with two heads in both front and back. Here’s some pictures of the install:hatsoff:

I'll take some better pictures for the front head later today. It also has netradar installed

You mounted the radar unit in the engine compartment?? It should be mounted with a clear view to the front - other wise you'll get very short range.

Oh **** did not see that. That netradar head is mounted very, very poorly. Not sure what the wagon engine bay looks like but there will be so much in the way of the radar signal there that if it even alerts to radar, it will have been far too late.

Really? The installer did that. I'm seeing quite a good range tho, have to test it out

I think the gps and the head unit is in the trunk, I have a installer did the job so I'm not very clear about that

Jeez, any installer recommendation? I guess the installer I went to did a **** job. It's rocco's auto tech btw

I live in Illinois - am a old time radar detector user from the early 70's. Plus owned a radar 'gun' since the early 80's. Currently own MPH Python's X / K and a Ka Bee 3 - Kustom Golden Eagle 2 Ka and Stalker Ka ATR's. (and a host of others laying around here)

When you test with 'squirrel' lets see how the range is etc. I do all my own mounting / installs and only can blame me if something doesn't work right. I own and run a V1 that is mounted inside the 'cab' up near the rear view mirror. I don't have a remote mounted detector. Since I move mine from vehicle to vehicle - just have to slide it off the mount and unplug it. Then the other vehicle has another mount and power cords etc. I am the only driver in the family since my wife has MS. I do 99.99% of the driving.

Take care
Tom / Spin
Ps that was my first detector - not great range back then. Then Radar didn't 'see' you very well or at great ranges like they can now.

Hey all, I'd love to join in on the testing. I also just installed an ALP/NR combo. 2 heads up front, 1NR in lower grille. It might be good so we can compare what impact if any the differences in head placement makes.

@Bren3dan @Goldenn hey guy I'll be in LA June 13-15 if you still need it tested by then. I have a Truspeed S. Best would be maybe Saturday the15th in the morning near Glendale since that's where I'll be staying and I have a lot to do during those days. You can PM me if you are free that morning. Thanks
