Fixes (v122.123.111 – 04/18/2019)
  • GPS code error fix
  • Ability to display negative Altitude
  • Rear Horn sensitivity issue – Advanced Mode
  • Battery save mode – GPS reported speed up to 6mph from 0mph (useful in poor GPS signal locations. Example: enclosed garage)
  • Ka ghost issue
  • Red light database updated 4/02/2019
  • K Block Feature to improve BSM detection. Notch filter for 24.194 – 24.205GHz
What is the Ka Ghost issue? Is it what I reported earlier with the full K to Ka?

Oh wow, they released 1.22? That's awesome.

The big change over 1.21 is that it adds a Honda/Acura filter to notch out 24.194-24.204, significantly quieting down the detector.

A couple of us have noticed that it works in Advanced Mode and City Mode, but we get PT's in Highway mode. I'm not sure yet if this is totally fixed, but just a heads up.

Glad the update is now available!
This might be worth the price of admission. Glad to have kept the R7

I know our more senior members already know, but to the new ones.
It's good practice to execute a factory reset on the detector after you successfully complete a FW update.
This was a recommendation from Uniden back when the R series 1st released.

Does this mean we have the ability to mute the rear horn for K band? I just downloaded the new firmware and did a factory reset but have not re-programmed all features.

However, don't forget there is some question of the safety of their site ATM. Your choice.

Visiting the Uniden site is like visiting the girls of ill repute in Kings Landing. Some of them might have the Pox.

I think it must have to do with signal strength. It was brief, but I had to be within about a car length.
Sounds like the engineers may have applied very heavy desensitizing/filtering to that block rather than completely muting it? Still letting very strongest signals punch through isn't such a bad idea (if that's what they've done versus a bug in that code). I personally haven't had any PT the block with 50% K, TSF on.

This is what I would like to see, maybe have the notch set at City sensitivity or maybe 5+ bar strength might work.

Anyone with anything? My radar just isn’t being detected by my Mac. It’s like I’m not plugging anything in.

Don't know, but it would make sense.
