@UnidenSupport Perhaps you can delete this speed camera from your database? It was removed last spring.
Bwahahahahah.. Sorry had to laugh. I've been trying to get 5 different speed cams deleted. The ones I'm trying to get deleted have been gone now for a year easy. I need to figure out a way to get them removed myself. They're driving me crazy.

But I wish the Notch was +/- 5 from 24.200. I don't remember the last time I saw a BSM at 24.194 and even 24.195 is very very rare for me. Most of my BSM in that area is 24.198 - 24.200... I run in K Narrow.
I drive acura with bsm mine is. 210 to. 215

K narrow at 100% is quiets down drastically VS k wide at 30% I hear it beep my whole commute

The new K block for honda is wrong or at least my Acura is different

Since I've been running in K Narrow, I think one time I saw 24.201. I can't imagine driving a car that actually spews BSM. At least in your case you can run K Narrow. Good Luck!

I’m not a fan of this blocker. I guess it’s a good band aid but it’s too risky to use especially if you are in areas you are unsure of. I’m currently in Arizona where it’s mostly ka band but some k band guns are out there. Since I have no idea of the frequency , I’ll just continue to mute out Honda’s and Acura’s.

And if you’re going through my town heading to the jersey shore, you’ll definitely want k blocker disabled. My locals mainly use 33.8 but for some reason the supervisors driving SUVs run k band and the frequency falls into that 24.197-24.199 range. Life was so much simpler when everyone ran mph pythons that fell in the 24.160 range.

I'm trying to decide if I want to have this new Honda blocker turned on.

From some of my past questions on K band radar, I was under the impression that frequencies closest to even frequencies like 24.100, 24.250, etc were most likely to be police radar (although police radar could also be completely different and not close to those numbers too).

So with this K Blocker, it seems there'd be a risk in not responding to a 24.199 +/-5 alert. Am I correct in saying that? Are most people just so overwhelmed with Honda/Accura BSM alerts that they're willing to accept that risk, or is it known that there aren't any K band guns that use that frequency?

Curious.. what year Acura? I’ve also passed a few brand new MDXs spewing 24.168, but the majority of Honda’s/Acura’s seem to be in the K block range for me.

Oh ok. Usually the ones that set my R3/R7 off are newer MDXs/RDXs/TLXs/ and then Honda Pilots/CRVs/Ridgelines all in the K block range. Maybe in 2013 different frequencies were used.. not sure.

Nice car by the way! I used to drive a 2006 TL. Loved it!

You know you can permanently delete camera alerts from your detector by pressing the mute button when alerted and pressing mute again to confirm, right?

Sure, if they are still in the next latest database update, they might come back, but easy enough to make them go away again.

I believe only RLCs can be deleted and not speed cams

Been tried many a times and Speed cams can't be deleted like RLC.

It's a simple gps lockout, right? Unclear as to why this hasn't yet been implemented.

And in the interim, at least they could delete the speedcam in the DB when they've been notified.

I would just turn off the speed cams for now and use Waze instead, until the feature gets added to manually delete them,

I believe deleting an RLC or speed cam (if that were possible) deletes that specific location from the database loaded onto the detector itself. Meaning if you were to delete a RLC location like you’re able to now, the only way to get it back would be to reload the firmware which reloads the entire RLC/speed cam database as well.

I doubt it's actually Uniden's database. They are probably licensing it from a third party. But agreed that it would be nice if kept up to date better.

The problem I find with just turning it off speed cams is because laser or MRCD and not in WAZE. I ran into one yesterday. There were 2 speed cams on this road.. about a 1000 ft apart. I didn't know there were 2 separate schools that close.. Waze had one, but not the other. Uniden's database had both. One speed cam, I'm guessing is laser because I got the laser notification in the past. The 2nd one was MRCD/T. I don't go down this road often.. Maybe a few times a year and the MRCD/T cam was new to me.

This was one time that having having MRCD detection on would have saved my butt, assuming speedcam was turned off because I had a decent MCRD detection. But if I didn't have the speedcam turned on, I might have thought they had just replaced the older laser SC in front of the 1st school.

Based on this comment it's doubtful you've lived in Scottsdale. Definitively not worth the risk.

And the problem with this is?

Just like any other newly installed camera, those that update their db would get the alerts, those that don't will not.
