Hi everyone

Hope all is good and hope everyone is looking forward towards the weekend  Need some input and Pro's n Con's. This weekend gonna get my V1 Hardwired and while doing some research from one of the 2, I see the HT-1096 is equipped with ignition power and as for the V1 Direct Wire Power adapter kit and for the life of me cant find info if its equipped with ignition power. Although I see the V1 direct wire kit has an advantage if that was installed it has an extra for the ACC and the HT-1096 is a stand alone which if I where to buy the concealed display for the V1 which wont have the capability to power the concealed display for the V1, Correect me if im wrong. Anyhow what are your suggestions and Pros n Cons. TIA ..

It will be ignition switched if you tap into an ignition switched source, doesn't matter which kit you use.

The V1 direct wire adapter is free and included with every V1, and is very high quality. No reason not to use it.

I have the the HT-1036 because I use the remote display, but the main benefit of it over the plain direct wire is the ACC port to plug in and hide a Blue tooth dongle to allow the third party apps like JBV1 or V1 driver

I'm confused. Please elaborate. How's the HT-1036 different?

Why would you use that aftermarket generic version? You can run a splitter (ideally with a pigtail) for expanding extra accessories like having both a BTLE and a concealed display in the mix.

I installed a remote mute button from Safe-n-Sound (Valentine Flat Mute Plug - "Be Safe with Safe-N-Sound1.com") in the woman’s car so she wouldn’t keep shoving the V1 forward in its mount. I used this splitter Monoprice T Adapter 6P6C - 1M/2F - Monoprice.com plugged into the ACC port and plugged both the mute button and the BLTE into it. Works great, except I wish it had a short pigtail so it wouldn’t elbow its way in there against the main V1 wire.
