Just got the DFR 6 to replace my X50 black.
when the DFR 6 has k filter and TFS enabled,(which will almost completely eliminate bms falses) it has exactly the same K range as the X50 black with TSR enabled. The X50 always went crazy when around bsm vehicles. When it comes to KA band,34.7 detection is almost exactly the same as the X50 and possibly a little less range than the X50 black on 35.5. The DFR 6 does seem to have better off- axis 34.7 than the X50 black. To summarize my testing results, the DFR 6 has long range on K band even with filters enabled. It is almost perfect at filtering out bsm falses and has similar Ka range to the X50 black. The DFR 6 is scary silent until it encounters a legit signal.

I feel like I brag a little too much about my DFR6 on this forum, but I absolutely love it! I too came from an X50, but mine was a silver S7 horn one. The DFR6 is leaps and bounds more usable. Excellent filtering with plenty of options. Plenty of sensitivity on both K and KA for most people's needs. It's definitely not the most sensitive detector out there, but for the price, you're getting one hell of a stellar performer. I do have some qualms with it, but almost a year and easily over 10,000 miles later, the unit has my trust big time.
