It’s the difference between, ‘It works, ship it’ and ‘We’ve made advanced in the art and are passing it down to our non-flag ship detectors’.Because there hasn't been a need for a firmware update for it
Can you be more specific about what "art" you are referring to?
Don't take offense, your question wasn't stupid.Just curious seeing as the last update was a year old. I'll remember not to post stupid questions next time tho....pff
Every electronic device eventually reaches a point of maturity where there are no more features to add that are possible with the hardware and there are no reported problems. The SP is approaching/reached such a point.Just curious seeing as the last update was a year old. I'll remember not to post stupid questions next time tho....pff
Jon - I’m pretty sure you have brain storming sessions in which you huddle the team and talk about ‘how can we be innovative’. No one sits on their laurels in any business but your the expert and I’m not...Can you be more specific about what "art" you are referring to?
Brainstorming: I think I’ve mentioned this before. The one thing you don’t have is a remote mute button. You’re limited by the power cord being a barrel. But, if you made a box that sent out a tone and put the tone on the power line, it could ride on the DC to the detector. One tone would mute, two presses (two tones) could lock out. A capacitor could pass the tone pulse to the detector without changing hardware. You’ve already sandwiched a widget into the detector that works some K band magic but is there room for any more components? Can you be more specific about what "art" you are referring to?
