Where would you tap the yellow wire into (hard wire kit), I know it says ACC?
Into any accessory-triggered wire or fuse. I generally look for a fuse that turns on and off with the car like heated seats or interior lights or whatever. That's effectively the trigger that tells dashcam when to switch between driving and parking mode.

Do you mean the 4K model? I don't think that's out yet. Otherwise the A129 and A129 IR are both already available. The new IR model is on the front of Viofo's website.

In related news, it looks like they're beta testing buffered parked recording for the A129 series now as well. Skimming through the thread on Dashcamtalk, it looks like it's still a bit buggy and so it's still very much in development, but it's good to see that they're working on this.

Edit: Looking over the A129 IR's site, it looks like they're already advertising buffered parked recording capabilities. Wow...

If I am not interested in the parking sensor, just a straight old good dash cam, does the a119 v3 offer anything over the V2?

The A129 with buffered parking would be a really interesting player in the market.. since the A129 uses the Starvis that's better for dark areas.

Although, the thought of a A129 4K dual channel that's doesn't cost an arm and a leg is really tantalizing..

Reading over the specs, I don't think a whole lot. The A119S adds a Sony Starvis sensor for better low light, but it's capped to 1080p. This one can use that sensor at higher resolutions like the A119 and A119 Pro. IIRC, I didn't see a massive difference in low light sensitivity with the Starvis sensor, but it's nice to now have the best of both worlds in one dashcam.

Viofo said they're using all new internals and whatnot, but just looking at the specs, I don't think there's much of a noticeable difference just for driving.

Have you had a chance to reach out to
@BCHobbyist for a conformation on what might be up with it?

He might not allow you to post it just yet as he does the same thing as you on the dash cam side, but he might be able to give you a heads up.
Just a thought.

Ooh that'd be great. Yeah @BCHobbyist and @VIOFO, it'd be great to hear your input on these dashcams too. :)

Yes, it's the 4K version I'm interested in...
