After seeing this the last two days, even after tightening all bolts, I’m done.

Sorry to see you’re having trouble with the BlendMount. I always take my RD down when I’m not in the car, and when I first installed the BlendMount, a few times taking the RD off, the mount would loosen and swing like in your picture. I was afraid to over tighten the bolts, but I was getting irritated with it constantly loosening. So I got it back level, and then just used as much force as I could when tightening the bolts again, and haven’t had a problem since. Is yours loosening like that just from driving, or only when trying to dismount the detector?

It's been loosening overnight. And I really had these bolts very tight. I leave my detector connected all of the time (unless I park in a big city area). I think I could mess with what you proposed, but I am leaning towards just using some Gorilla Tape on the double cup mount higher up anyways.

That’s certainly odd then. I’ve used the BM with the R3 and now the R7 over the length of two years and have never experienced what you’re experiencing except what I described in my earlier post. If it loosens overnight, you’d think it would loosen while driving even quicker. I do like the placement above the mirror as well, and it’s definitely more hidden up there.

I wouldn't use gorilla tape because it is very messy if you do decide to take it off. Buy some 3m VHB off amazon or the perma mount off ebay for $8

@fishing66 - doesn't this thread deserve a meme? Sorry folks, again the inner child escapes.

I forgot about the rubber bumper.
I took mine off and left in the box.
Nice job, 2016 can get higher than 2013. 2013 has bigger blacked out graphics area so I'm more low left and still under shaded area.
Well done!

Now that I looked at mine tonight I have decided to move it 1/4” higher and over the mirror more.
I will still be able to operate and remove it while regaining full sun visor movement.
Your video showing using the left hand on the release button shows a way to really get it higher if desired.

Awesome! Post a pic once you move it.

I can't move mine right over the mirror as the headliner bulge prevents finger access to top buttons.
This is as far and high as I can go without losing access.
Sunvisor comes down 90 perfect but blocks display screen.

Slightly off topic but, when did they come up with a carry case ?
IMG_6749.JPG

This actually looks like it’s functional.
Does it clip to your belt?
Looks like the cases we were getting for the R1 & R3’s.

The neoprene case doesn't have a belt loop on the back, just prevents scratches when in the bigger case that has all the accessories.

Has come with one since day one. No clip thought. Just a case.
