My suction cup bracket holds to the windshield fine, but the r3 will 'pivot' right and left a bit which causes it not to be 'perfectly' straight. Is this normal?

Which mount? The single suction cup or dual?

The only thing I can think of is the cups aren't locked in to the smaller set of holes.

The bracket is not moving, just the detector

Then to answer your question, more than a little wiggle is not normal.

Do you take it on and off a lot? Do you use it with other brackets or clips? It sounds like the plastic piece that clips into the metal rectangle on the mount may be worn........or just loose.

How did you reach out to us? It does sound to me as though there could be an issue with the locking clip in your detector, or the mount. I would be happy to help figure it out, but I would like to make sure no one else is on the case.

I thought you were the whole customer service department at Uniden?
