This is the most recent one I have encountered. I have seen some that were higher, as high as the low 35.xxx range. The Stir+ has only segment 5 on, so it does not alert to these and I see quite a few, about 1 every 2-3 weeks or so. I see them all over upstate where you need additional segments enabled. Some even drifted or were tuned lower, into segment 4, but those are quite rare compared to the ones that drift high.

Since NYS does its own tuning and certifications - and they wont provide the certs in traffic court under any circumstances, there is a possibility some of these are getting tuned out of segment 5 on purpose. There is just too many of them to be a coincidence.

Yeah, I got the joke. For those that don't know me well, I'm a dinosaur who doesn't text or own (or desire) a smart phone. Dashcam eventually, but not yet.

According to the "Radar off frequency" calculator on CopRadar.com, with a base frequency of 34.700 Ghz and an out of tune bias of +289 Mhz, looks like it would show a 75mph reading as 74.38 mph, or just 74mph (assuming the unit rounds down if below 0.5).

So, this works in our favor. No need to let them know hahaha.

Plus, who'd love to be able to get off of a ticket on a technicality if you can prove they haven't tuned their gun at the start of each shift? Me. :D
Correct me if I'm wrong... But I though out of tune guns also had issues with range when that far off.

Definitely hit you up next time thru. For those not familiar with the area this is Ogden,Ut.
I'm familiar with it, but it sure looks a lot different than it did when I lived there when I was in the Air Force stationed at Hill AFB from '81 thru '85! It really is a small damn world! It's on my bucket list to go back to Ogden and see how much it's changed since I left in '85! Thanks for posting the video, even though it looks different, it was neat to see Ogden again, even a small part of it!

After seeing this, I’ve run Ka wide or Seg 2/4/5/6/8 anytime I’ve gone through the Ogden area, and I’ve yet to come across this guy. There was a time a went past s Charger between the 12th and 24th street exits who for the life of me appeared to be tuning radar through the rear antenna. I picked up nothing. When I checked my settings, somehow I didn’t have seg 6 turned on. That was likely my chance. keeping my eyes open though. I want to spot this guy.
