About an hour into a road trip suddenly JBV1 starts announcing TMG Disconnected TMG Connected Over and over and over. The blue CPU light was also blinking. I reached over and shut it off, waited a few minutes and turned it back on. No issues the rest of the day. Any thoughts on this?

How does the cpu act when not connected at all? Tmg remote was doing this to me last Saturday.

If the BT connection is lost repeatedly, but only temporarily, I would suspect a BT issue with phone or CPU, or interference. Was the CPU light actually blinking, or was it turning on and off in sync with the connection state?

I think it was turning off and on with the connection state. After I rebooted it seemed fine. Honestly, I've never run it disconnected.

If it should happen again with JBV1, try to go to dev options, logcat, and send me the logcat before JBV1 shuts down. But not while moving, please, so you don't hit anything.

Yeah, I was doing 80 at the time trying to look at the CPU and finagle JBV1. Maybe next time I'll slow down.

Happened again today. 3 hours into trip JBV1 starts announcing again TMG Disconnected /TMG Connected over and over. The blue light on the CPU was not blinking this time. Sent logcat.

Anything else connected to your phone via BT besides your V1C dongle, TMG CPU, and car? Are you using Android Auto when this happens? Any updates to your phone before this started happening?

You can stop sending logs.

In both logs, there are two different things going on. First, JBV1 is being killed, presumably by Android Auto, but it could be something else. If JBV1 is running in the background when this happens, and you're running the phone on battery, be sure you have battery optimization disabled for JBV1. Second, in separate incidents, you lose BT connectivity to both the V1C dongle and the TMG CPU, perhaps coinciding with a phone call over your car radio or a separately connected headset. I can't be sure about the phone call part, because I don't read phone state, but I do see headset activity. Or maybe you're using Car Audio Interrupt for alerts and that's causing an issue with your phone, in which case you should disable that.

I don't have Android Auto. JBV1 is never in the background. It's always on top.
It happened twice again today. When I get a PAWS or radar alert it comes over the speakers and it's treated like a phone call. How would I change this? This never happened before the last update. Thanks.

Android Auto isn't standard in that Vette? Hmmm. Anyway, nothing has changed with respect to audio alerts or BT comm, not in a long while. Tap the gear icon while connected and then tap the green CAI button to disable it (until it says CAI DISABLED). While you're at it, tap the gray FORCE SPEAKER button, too, to make it green and see if the problem continues. Or try a different phone for a day or two.

AA started with MY 2016, I have a 2015. Do you, by chance. have a photo of these buttons I should press? Where is the Force Speaker icon? It won't affect me hearing the alerts through my speakers, will it? That's #1 important. Thanks.

Force Speaker will force audio to your device speaker. I'm suggesting this to help diagnose your issue, not as a permanent solution. Tap the gear icon while connected to V1, or go to audio settings > audio handling.

Took another drive today, 40 mins each way. Made the adjustments as instructed. The first 2 PAWS alerts it shut off my stereo and came thru speakers. It did not do that again. Did not disconnect, although all the times it did do that it seems I was driving for more than 2 hours each time.

Please go to Settings > Audio > Audio Handling, take a screenshot and post it.

If you can stand to run it that way for a while, please do so, and then let me know if the TMG issue continues.
