Waze sent me off of I-95 north in VA today due to an accident (along with just about everyone else).I had been creeping along for several miles and traffic started to move. I let my situational awareness guard down and got nailed by a motorcycle cop (52 in a 35) shooting cars like fish in a barrel. My Pro-M did not alert to laser which is a little disconcerting. I know you have zero chances of stopping in time when this happens (can’t really hit the brakes in VA anyway because you would really be busted) but I thought I would at least get an alert. I was pissed off I got caught, haven’t received a ticket in over 15 years, but I was more nervous the cop would see my Pro-M mounted high up in my truck. It took me a few minutes to find my registration and I knew he would eventually see it. When I did find my registration and he took it along with my license back to his bike, I looked in my rear view mirror and saw the coast was clear so I yanked it off of my widshield and tucked it away. I’ll be contacting Radenso to find out how the no ticket guarantee works. I guess it’s time to invest in a jammer. Ugh.

Sorry to hear that :(
I am not sure how the no ticket guarantee works, hopefully Radenso members or someone else can chime in.

It's laser, I don't see why they would have to pay for that ticket. Laser is an EXTREMELY tight beam. Many many times ANY detector will miss alerting to laser. Just look at the vid below and see how small the crosshair is and you can see why the laser doesn't even reach up into the cabin

my Pro-M mounted high up in my truck.
That’s your problem right there. The higher you mount the detector, the less of a chance of you getting laser directions (especially in a truck). Mounting high is okay for radar detection, but mounting lower is better for laser.

X2.. The higher the derector the further the laser receiver is from the target. At around 500ft the average width of the laser is around 18" wide. If targeting your license plate or headlight you would be out of the range to detect it. Even if the detector alerted a radar detector will not save you from a laser ambush. The only thing that can protect you from laser is a laser jammer such as the ALP.

My V1 missed a laser hit this evening, but the ALP had it right away. Instant JTK because he was marked on jbv but interestingly not waze.

The ticket guarantee for the Pro M has already mentioned is for radar tickets only.

If you drive in VA (especially NoVA), jammers are must as lidar tends to be the weapon of choice.

This past weekend, @Kennyc56 and myself put the group of detectors through my Spectre III and found out the ProM didnt see DragonEye Compact and ECCM DragonEye. It only picked up ProLaser III when pointed at the detector.

"he was marked on jbv but interestingly not waze "

- It's my understanding that JBV1 pings the server more often than Waze itself does.

If you have a clean record, why not fight the ticket and keep your record clean?

The detector doesn’t make a difference. They’re all pretty bad at laser.

That's my plan at this point. I'll take a copy of my driving record with me and beg for mercy. I'll also be shopping for ALP system soon........

Surprising the Whistler 95/97 (and older models) is the only other detector with Laser pickup near as fast as the V1.

JBV1 looks for police marked in either direction of travel on the road you're on, and also any police reports within 5 degrees of your heading on different roads (eg an overpass) as a failsafe, by default. It will also look for historical alerts at a location, so if a marked LEO is cleared for whatever reason it will still show up for a period of time.

Where was this in VA? I got hit with a PL3 2 weeks again on 495 right after the Woodrow wilson bridge in VA.
