Currently I have it with K filter, and K traffic filter, and wide. Is it safe to turn off the last 1 or 2 sweeps for should I keep it on for out of tune guns? I had a ton of car falses the other day, a ton! That was with traffic filter off however, and I have not driven it since changing to traffic filter on. What do you guys think?

The speed of the NR-O does not really change with Seg's so as long as you don't get falses you could run wide with no penalty, I do with my rear facing unit.

You might want to see what your areas you travel in LEO's are running first... as far as the 5 ,6 Segs off they will definitely be quieter but at a small risk.

Not worried about the speed so much, worried about the annoying falses from acuras and hondas etc haha

I hear you on that one, the rear facing unit seems to be pretty immune to those but my front facing NR is not.

I run dual NR's, I Seg the front and Wide the rear, hoping the rear will at least give me a small fighting chance to catch a higher gun the front might miss.

Haha nice man! Ok so i should probably just keep my settings as is. I have only once ran into out of tune k in the 24.2xx range before in RI, so I was hoping I could turn it off, but I guess I will suck it up lol

NR Original Antennas are not very accurate as to frequencies.. Same issues with Uniden Analog detectors.. The frequency can be as much as +/- 35mhz so a 24.2xx might not really be far out of tune. DSP's are much more accurate.

My front is the newer DSP, very accurate and kicks hynnie. The latest firmware has tweaked it into a fast powerful detector.
