I have a OSM registered login and started to correct the incorrect PSL in my area plus add PSL on roads that did not already show any PSLs. All my edit changes showed up and when I logged out and logged back in the next day, there were still there. So I had a long drive yesterday on the roads I edited.

Only the roads that had not PSL now showed up as having PSL. None of the edited PSL showed up as changed IE there were still wrong.

Questions, do edits to already PSLs have to be approved by some higher power after they are made? Are the old PSLs in some kind of cookie type location and the App just keeps pulling down from memory or a cookie? Or does something need reset someplace in OSM. Or does something need reset in JBV1 which is pulling in the OSM data?

This might be a different subject, where does Waze and Google maps get their PSL from. None of my changes (even the ones I added that didn't even have PSL) showed on Waze. It would be nice to be able to edit those also because there are several places the PSL is wrong of I get a false Overspeed warning in Waze.

Lastly if there is an OSM expert on the Forum, I have some editing questions if said expert doesn't mind sending me a PM or doesn't mind me asking them in this thread to be answered.

There is an approval process for some edits, but I don't know how that works. I suspect changes to existing speed limits require some sort of approval or confirmation, while filling in blanks does not.
