Ah yes, Richard Hammond and his game cam.

It looks easily steal-able.

Funny to say, but yes, there have been a few cases where they were stolen.

I managed to identify it, Traffilogix Enforcer. It's similar to a Poliscan although this particular system reads your speed after you pass by (ie: no advance warning). Are jammers effective here or is it one of those things where your best defense is hoping to spot it before it's too late?

Very interesting! I found it, the Traffilogix Enforcer is using the Leddar M16 Sensor Modul from LeddarTech:

It is the "M16-LED" Sensor:
Leddar Solid-State LiDAR: M16 Multi-segment sensor module

They are using a WiFi-Repeater, you can try to find their SSID with your phone (if it is not a hidden SSID). In Germany this works with a some Speed measurement devices, which are using WiFi.

Good find on the type of sensor. That will make it easier in finding what (if any) countermeasures are effective against it. They use it the same way here, the system transmits via WiFi to a transit officer a couple hundred meters who stops and tickets you.

As for finding the SSID, even if you can, it would be too late by the time detected it. Not to mention, trying to do that when you are driving. If I run into one of these in the future, I am going to put this to the test and see how far away I can detect it.
