Just an FYI that we are planning to release a firmware update on Monday to address a few issues and add the new K Band Segmentation for the NR DSP antennas.

The following improvements are included:

  1. AutoDim feature has been improved to take into account the actual day-length at particular user location and day of year.
  2. NR DSP radar antenna K band frequency segments have been adjusted to new values for better filtering of automotive collision radars.
K1 24.000 – 24.100
K2 24.100 – 24.165
K3 24.165 – 24.180
K4 24.180 – 24.195
K5 24.195 – 24.205
K6 24.205 – 24.250

Segment 5 should immediately cut down on false alerts around 20% since that area is where most of the Accura & Honda's false as well as a few other vehicles.

3. Bug fixes that effected some users including:
  • Volvo filter adjustment which on some vehicles was causing some Error 2's
  • Intermittent configuration resetting and rebooting error has been corrected.
  • TX sensor deactivation after cycling through inactive profiles has been fixed.
  • LED mode color and operation mode not changing accordingly when cycling through profiles has been corrected.
A few other minor tweaks are being finalized but we will post full notes on Monday. Just wanted to give the heads up for those that keep emailing me for updates.

Looks pretty good. Personally I would run segments 1-4 and leave off 5 and 6. I don’t know how much “overscan” is built into them, but if not much/any then it looks like maybe the plague of Honda/Acura BSMs should be squelched at least.

After seeing legitimate K band all over the board anyone who segments K should keep in mind:

It's your funeral.
