I didn't forget about you!
I really need measurements on the GPS button. Mostly, I need to know it's size and how far it sticks out from the side. I think I can just slot the mount a bit in that area but it depends on its protrusion.
I also have the power button from the GPS mod, but it protrudes less than 0.5mm from the side of the case when it's depressed (on). I don't think it will be an issue.

Cool,
You can test it when you receive the mount. I actually do already have some clearance designed into the mount in that area so the mount doesn't snag on the rubber grippy material during insertion.....heh heh hehhhh hehh..... so it definitely could work as-is.

I was able to get some black ABS in and print a couple of OB-Grip™ (LOL) mounts. One is for @Jaguar and the other, I don't know if @InsipidMonkey needs that one or if @SquirrelMaster is still going to send him one? One of them has a printing defect on the back of the mount pad. The other one came out great. As for the defect, it's just a rougher surface on that one face and it would never be seen after it was attached so still completely usable.

Nice. I have to get a 3D Printer. Those new metal printers seem interesting but are a wee bit pricy.

Now can you get busy and 3D Print me a completely functional and updated V2 that is RDD proof, rejects all false alerts, and alerts to the police whether they are transmitting or not! :=}

Again nice print.

That’s awesome! Amazing design job, and I can already tell your printer is a high quality one :)

Did you receive yours Jaguar?
Har har har, you goofy ol'... CAD expert. Fits great. I'll have to take a picture later and show it off. It does rub a little on the front edges of the receiver, not sure how I could fix that though.

By design it will be snug against the front faceted area of the scanner, if that's what you mean. That's what keeps it locked in to the tabs and keeps it from vibrating.

Haha, I was hoping someone besides you would find that it was addressed to "TrumpLuvr" and ask you if you lived a secret double life. :p

@OBeerWANKenobi Out of curiosity, are you considering publishing the design for use? I'd love to download it and save it for future use. Not trying to act entitled or anything, but I figure I won't know if I don't ask :)

I wasn't really planning on it. I don't mind sending it for use to certain RDF peeps, including yourself, as long as it isn't disseminated beyond that individual. I guess I'd like to keep it around here with other members that are generous with each other as opposed to letting it out in the wild where, as you put it, "entitled" bungholes who don't give back can take advantage. LOL. PM me your email and I can send you the STL file.

Understood. You are the creator and thus hold the copyright as well as dictate the reservation of rights for dissemination. I'm good with that -- and thanks for stating it as it will be good for others to be aware of as well. :)
