Hello,

I'm having a little issue with not being able to mute memory speed camera alerts. Everything else works fine and I'm not pressing mute too fast or anything.

It is on the latest firmware 1.46

Anyone else have this issue?

Yep - Had the same problem for anything that you should be able to create a mute memory for on my 1.46 R3 (red light cam, speed cam, K band, etc.)...
A second press of the mute would display Mute Off instead of Mute Memory.
Since this is happening to a handful of us (see the other thread), I would call it a bug with 1.46 (never had this issue with 1.37) where the detector gets into a state where the mute memory function stops working.
I did a factory reset and it seems to have returned to working correctly, but I don't know for how long.
I'd like to try 1.48 as well after we get more data on how it performs.

The trick is to first long press to bring up the delete option, then short press again to confirm. Here's a quick demo with an RLC. It should be the same for a speed camera.

I have tried doing this long press but on my detector it changes how bright display is. It goes from bright, dim and dimmer. No delete option :( wth? @Vortex

Did you do a factory reset when you installed the latest FW ?
Ok, you tried short and long presses, how about pressing it "medium" length ?
That's all I got.

Yeah - a "long press" brings up the Dimming options for me as well...
I really don't believe it's an issue with our fingers - I had set roughly 20 Mute Memory locations (K band) on 1.37 successfully with no problem. At some point after upgrading to 1.46, Mute Memory stopped working using the same finger and pressing methods. A factory reset brought back the function so far on 1.46.

The fact that 2 threads have been started now on the same issue tells me that it's not an isolated/user-error issue.
Hopefully 1.48 doesn't have the issue and is an improvement over 1.46 so that 1.46 can just fade into non-existence

My factory reset does not seem to help at all :( I can mute memory everything else except for Speed Camera alerts... so strange. It has to be bug in firmware as I'm able to mute memory other things.

1.48 still the same I can mute memory everything else and even delete RLC but I still can't do the same for Speed Camera. I messaged seller on amazon and this is what he said, take it with grain of salt as I don't know how true this is.

"This is a bug since speed cameras are treated different than normal false alerts. I checked with engineering and they said there is a new firmware being tested now and will be released in a few weeks."

Interesting.

I can verify that I am seeing the same thing - Now that I got K-band mute memory working again, I still can NOT mute memory a Speed Cam - Both on 1.46 and 1.48.

Is nobody else trying to mute speed cams? I can't believe this isn't more wide-spread/talked about...

Also have not been able to mute memory speed cams. No issues with muting any other alerts. This is with both 1.46 and 1.48 FW versions.

Does this only work on fw 1.46/1.48?

Speed cams are driving me crazy. It's like the db Uniden uses only adds, and never deletes cams.

Thanks!
