Nice! So an R3 with dual horns for arrows, plus:
  • A larger OLED screen
  • 1dB improved performance over R3 due to condenser lens redesign
  • Ambient light sensor
  • Autolockouts (Not available at launch, enabled with first firmware update. Post 6/14/2019?)
  • K band down to 23.950
  • Micro USB connection for updates
  • RJ14 connector moved to right side

Very cool. Do I have to wait for Xmas 2019 to order?

Nice! I like they are widening K band to scan down to 23.950! Great news!
Dukes, that’ll help with MRCD and/or photo up there?

Negative. It’s gonna be released in April!

I'm mostly interested in how it handles BSM. Similar to R3 or better? If it's better, close to the same range, I'm in.

I wonder if the OLED will be susceptible to burn-in.

Better OLED, or a "dark mode" that goes to full brightness?

Inclusion of ambient light sensor is a good move, but if I recall, the R-series previously only alerted in dim mode when it woke out of dark, didn't it?

-Same BSM filtering as the R1/R3

That gives me hope that Uniden won't be abandoning BSM filter issues on the original R units. Sounds like they will be developed concurrently (and probably have been working on it already).

Yes, currently that's the only issue with the R1 and R3. Some MRCD units operate below 24.050 and this new detector will pick them all up! Super excited to see it in action :)

Looks good. Max 360 has some competition.
