I have joined as I am researching hard out for the best radar detector to fit to my Ducati Panagali Superbike, before heading south to the Burt Munro in Invercargill. From Auckland return to so I am picking ahead of time that I may be susceptible to speed inforcement over the long trip.

I am currently leaning towards the Red line Ex, however see that the preference appears to be the uniden R3 due to its extended range.

Now as I am fitting it to a bike it is not as easy to load in false signals etc and I will be relying heavily on voice alerts, which need to run on an app on my iPhone, as this connect directly to my wireless Sena unit in my helmet.

You all seem to be very knowledgable on everything RD so please let me know your thoughts and recommendations.

I have read the testing that has been completed locally which was really helpful.

I hope I wasn't the bike that was mentioned in this thread above clocked from behind... :)

So thank you in advance for all your advice....and I am enjoying all the videos etc

P.S I have established the only waterproof bike unit the TPX 3 won't give me enough range to react so that's out and the test results really showed how crap they are.

The R3 would be an excellent choice.
