Hi all,

I'm thinking that there may be a way to generate heatmaps for police traps from Waze's livemap (www.waze.com/livemap)

Mind you, i absolutely do NOT have the technical ability to make this but i am hoping someone reading this may. A site that that you could go to, type in an origin and destination address, and have it come up with a heatmap overlay over the route highlighting the locations of speed traps over the last day, week, month, 3 months etc i think would be quite helpful. Especially if you are driving to a new area, but also for daily commutes to see if anything is changing along your preferred route(s).

Anyone else interested in seeing something like this?

Someone on the Tesla Motor Club forum developed Tesla-Waze that has this feature. It's locked to only work on the built in browser to avoid excessive traffic, but a collaboration may be helpful.

Does the data get stored locally on phone or is it in a cloud?

It would be good info to know especially when traveling.
Hopefully RDFGS2.0 (?) will include this option.

I was picturing something that was stored in the cloud

How do we get the powers that be to consider this for RDFGS2.0?

Not that Trapster had a long term heatmap, but more of a history feature.

There are some Threads on the subject, but it looks like you need to be Beginner or higher level to access. (?) I'm thinking you will reach that soon.
I'll post the suggestion there giving you credit.
