after reading and watching videos about RDs (thanks to this forum and @Vortex videos ) , i finally pulled the trigger and bought my first RD ever. i have been driving for 20 years and never owned one cause i was afraid it would just annoy me of false alerts. my choices were Uniden R3, Radenso Pro M and Escort max360. i really like all 3 RDs but in the end i had to pick one. I'm looking forward to test this Pro M and i hope i will like it!.

Congratulations on the new detector! What was the deciding factor on the Pro M over the R3? I have an R3 and would like to try out a Pro M but I cant justify the purchase, now with the Uniden R7 on the horizon I'll probably want to try that one out also.

Hope you get lots of save with that and share some of your experiences.

Pro M is decent. My wife loves how quiet it is compared to the R3. Fewer BSM Falses

Congrats, you made a good choice. The PRO M is one of the top 3 for sure.

I use my Pro-M as my daily detector; quiet in town and gives good detection distance. Enjoy!

what sold me is its filtering capability on BSM. also, i live in NJ where K band is in use and read Pro M is a bit better in K band. another factor is customer support, Radenso is pretty active here and support is great as per research. a fellow car enthusiast recommended the R3, quickly googled it and nothing but great reviews, i was set to buy it. but did more research ( complete noob, Valentine is the only brand i know before ) and discovered other RDs. i considered the 360 max cause i wanted arrows and its auto lockout feature but escort has issues? and customer support isnt great??

ok today at work i was getting a k band alert. i immediately assumed it was our automatic door not too far from me so i held the middle button to lock it out and the L (locked) appeared. now on the way home, all the false k band i encounter are locked. i verified this by going to 3 areas with automatic doors. im going to reset my RD to factory settings and test tomorrow.

should i create a thread in Radenso sub forum or ok to report here?

thanks!
