Do you have any information about pulse rate and pattern for this lidar?
No, nothing beyond what is posted on the manufacturer's site above.

Listed ANPR range is up to 150m at daytime, while measurable distance interval for the laser is 1200m.
Since it is not manually operated, I suppose laser is constantly on, which means it can be detected well before you enter ANPR range, provided its pulse rate and pattern is detectable at all.
This is my theory anyway, I haven't yet encountered such a thing.

I am planning a road trip in Iceland this summer and based on my initial research speed cameras are main method of issuing citations. I don’t plan on speeding but the citations runs around $800 for only 10 over the PSL so extra caution is warranted. Anyone have a recommendation other waze?

I have a updated V1 but not sure if that will provide any effective help.

By law they have to post signs warning you of speed cameras but they are not in English

Any advice is welcome

Update for Bulgaria

Radar K-band
SOITRON m*SpeeDet 2D (24.000 – 24.250 GHz)
Full specification: e-bim.bim.government.bg: Преглед на одобрен тип средство за измерване

I am afraid that the following info in the first post is incorrect as I have never ever heard, nor seen Ka-band in Bulgaria:
Radar Ka-band
Multanova 6F (mobile photo radar, 34.3 GHz)
MPH Bee3 (mobile radar, 33.8 GHz)
(There are only several units of the last two and they are very rare to encounter, if at all)

Thanks for the update.
When I put that up, there were reports in some forums and maybe a document by the certification body about the Multanova.
Since then, though, for many years I have never encountered any and I agree it is safe to assume Ka threats are non-existent in Bulgaria.
That K-band mobile radar is new to me and probably the reason why the old X-band radars seem to have disappeared in recent months.
Do you have any experiences as to how difficult is it to detect? Do they use it stationary only, or also moving? Instant on or always constant on?

Have not encountered this one personally yet. AFAIK it can operate in both stationary/moving state, it should be C/O but not sure.

Fortunately ancient X-bands are not extinct yet :) And can be detected from a great distance. You can check this thread for reference:

Unfortunately new lasers are pain in the ass...

Hello there,

How about Hungary? I need info about Laser units and K and Ka band radars used in Hungary,

Youthan.

I'm working with @nano to build a European database for the Uniden R3 and R7. Some countermeasures coming soon.. Anyone with either an R3 or R7 fancy doing some testing let us know.

Update for Ireland, they now seem to have the Truspeed over here. Still only seen this one...

..on their Twitter page but where there's one, there's more. Still using the Ultralyte and the older LTI guns for the most part.

I'd like to share my info on current speed enforcement tech in Bulgaria, so you can update the guide when you get the chance. As of 2019 and AFAIK, there are 6 types of devices in use:

1. TR4-D paired to TFR1–M video unit
Х band (10.525GHz)
These are probably the most common devices, they are made in Bulgaria, if you see a wild camping Opel Astra, chances are it's armed with that crap

2. RADAR AUTOVISION DIGITAL MPH-BEE ІІІ
Ka band (33.8GHz ±100МHz)
It's mounted on some of the Kia Ceed's, sadly can't confirm exact frequency used

3. SOITRON m*SpeeDet 2D
K band (24.125GHz ±125МHz)
It's mounted on some of the Kia Ceed's, as of 2018, sadly can't confirm exact frequency used

4. SITRAFFIC ERS 400
K band (24.125GHz)
Fixed camera

5. Multanova 6F
Ka band (34.360GHz)
Fixed camera

6. ARH S1
Laser (760 & 850 nm)
Semi-randomly deployed mobile units, as of 2017, probably the worst cancer currently

Cheers.

p.s. while this is in no way RD related, as of 2018 there is a new 7th type as well - the newly formed BGToll agency that operates both fixed and mobile cameras with plate recognition. These units check whether the vehicle has the mandatory government insurance and a vignette but have also been given the right to pull drivers and act like regular traffic police (while this is debatable, I'd advise against acting funny with these blokes). They use white minivans with thick blue and two thinner lime stripes on all sides and are usually located just outside cities, sometimes in teams of two - first is the camera unit that passes information to the second unit down the road that pulls designated vehicle.

A couple of corrections and additions to my list, as I can't edit the post anymore...

The ARH S1 actually fires a 905 nm laser

New additions:

SENSYS SSS Droplet RS240, K band (24.150GHz ±100МHz)

3M Average Speed Camera System - I believe there are just two or three of these currently installed

And as pointed by @skd, there also is a MultaRadar SD580, K band (24.125GHz ±125МHz)

Refit:

Gatso RT4 is speed cam, multanova/multaradar mobile radar :)
