I got my brother in law to help me do some testing on my TMG set up, but that's another thread. The main point of this one is to show my Beltronics GT1 the boss lady sent to me does alerts to lidar. We all know that a person gets hit with lidar their toast, but it is good to see it alert.

Over all, to date. The GT1 does ok as far as detection goes. I have been getting more 35.8 alerts than I would like but the more i think about it, there is a lot of electronics in my car, so maybe that is causing the false.

The rage seems average compared to others I have tested. I'm not use to the tones so i need to train my ears for a lack of better words to catch the KA band alert.

I've been using the EL app, still buggy as far as just cutting off for no reason, but it is nice to change settings with my phone. Like vortex said, there is no lockout other than using EL, A person can turn om amd off K and KA band, but if my memory serves me right, that's just a filtering and not making it quicker, i could be wrong though.

Over all, so far, it's ok for maybe someone starting out, or someone like myself who really dont speed but likes to know where da fuzz is. Maybe will get some better distance detection in the near future.

Yeah when you aim the lidar at the WS they'll tend to alert to gun
When shooting CM bumper they'll usually give up the ghost 500ft
You may not of known but your shooter was aiming at the WS where the detector was mounted

Even V1s wont alert that strong or close when bumper targeted

Yeah it would be good to do a 2 way on this one
Recording shooter shooting the car in daylight at bumper CM
If it was bumper CM its about the most impressive lidar pickup from a detector ive seen

Quick question: Do you sell the GT 360 and GT1 (and/or a dealer)? Looking to see who sells them, Or if they are still in production.

I still like our GT360 a bunch. So do my team when using it, for all the reasons mentioned before, including its looks+display, believe it or not (and so far no lockup).

Will be interesting to see results of your test again. Even if the beam is close in range enough that the beam width is less than grill of your car, unless we have Robin Hood or Annie Oakley holding the laser device, hard to imagine them being steady enough not to let it slip up and down to hit the WS. For me with the limited use of my DE (starting to test it), steady aim at anything more than 100 yards, hard to not let it slip from the grill area to WS. Maybe I am the Don Knots (Barney of Mayberry) of Laser shooters. :)

From 1000ft out its just a 3 foot square on front of the car
At 500ft its 1.5ft

Alot of times (but not all) getting under 700ft or so a detector will lose sight of the beam scatter

Not sure if its sarcastic
But if not you can know how large a lidar beam is on any gun at any distance by looking up the milliradian divergence
Most guns are 3 or 2.5
Every 1000ft the beam expands 2.5 or 3ft
