I use the newest version. I think it works just as well as it did before google. I have no issues with the way the new version is.

I like the older version's reporting, views, icons, and map schemes better. But I can't get it to run on my Android head unit so... new version works well enough.

I guess to each their own. I just run it in my phone. I don’t have any fancy radio in my commuter.

It's pretty killer having full waze in the dash, but I wouldn't call a Chinese head unit fancy lol.

True haha. Last time I had a Chinese head unit, it kept draining my battery. Never could figure out the problem. Ended up putting the stock stereo back in and problem solved.

I don't have any problems like that, lol. I actually like it a lot. Needs an occasional reboot and stuff like that, but for Waze/Spotify or streaming the occasion Hawks game (not while driving of course ), it's awesome! No reason not to run waze, really.

I've been using Waze for about a year, and find it very useful during my daily drive between the Dayton & Cincinnati OH areas.

OH-IO!
Waze has been around for a long time, we are far from early adopters! It was released in 2013. Waze absolutely took off when Apple Maps was released and subsequently failed miserably and Apple suggested Waze as their #1 alternative to use.

Pre-dating Waze was the app called Trapster, which I used for a while before Waze took over:
Trapster (software) - Wikipedia....

I used Trapster and Waze(6-years now) on a BlackBerry back then!

Echos of Trapster have been added to JBV1 in the form of historic heatmaps of past radar/lidar hits. It's a nice feature! Only uses your personal hits as data.
