If you have used those sites, the passwords have more than likely been compromised. This is assuming you at least registered on them. This post suffices as a reply to your email and a PM.

What v1user said is the case. The email address you used to register here on RDF with has been detected to be registered (or in some way associated with) one of the three websites mentioned above, where a data breach or similar has happened.

Specifically...:

In regards to LinkedIn: fortune.com: LinkedIn Lost 167 Million Account Credentials in Data Breach

In regards to Modern Business Solutions: www.riskbasedsecurity.com: Modern Business Solutions Stumbles Over A Modern Business Problem – 58M Records Dumped From An Unsecured Database

In regards to River City Media: betanews.com: Huge database leak reveals 1.37 billion email addresses and exposes illegal spam operation

Our system checks our member's email addresses with data breach databases periodically to prevent our member's accounts from potentially being compromised due to a third-party data breach, which is why you received this email from us.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Got it. Two further items, please. The email stated that "Dragonbyte Security detected....".
Does your site employ Dragonbyte Security?
Another responder said she had moved this thread to the proper location. Where would that be, please (so I know where to post any such queries in the future)?

We run the Dragonbyte Security XenForo addon which is responsible for scanning email addresses associated with RDF accounts against various data breach databases.

As far as the moved the thread comment goes - that was me, I moved the thread (this thread) here to this section - you're posting in it here/now (I moved it from the Introductions section to the Bug Reports/Forum Technical Support section here on RDF).
