He’s responded several time, I believe, confirming he did mean 150 mph. I won’t be confrontational and say a Yukon won’t go that fast because I’ve never driven a Yukon. It does seem a stretch but if he says it did 150 mph I won’t call him a liar, which many people are alluding to.

Tell the judge your truck doesn't go that fast , the radar had to be defective and the trooper had a very nasty attitude.Bring in proof for the speed limiter. I won all my radar citations using technicals and requesting calibration certificates.

A dealer statement or proof of the speed limiter on your vehicle. You bring that to the attention of the prosecutor, it will help you HUGE. They will have to throw the speed out and make YOU A DECENT DEAL.

You won't win any arguments in NYS with your radar calibration defense.

He was also ticketed for going 107mph... Even a minivan these days can go that fast.
Stay on subject law. .Call this legal agency , 9am to 5pm +1 212-683-7373, they will take care of you fast and easy.

If you lose, you get the points, and possibly Jail - the points are not avoidable and would also result in the driver assessment of an additional fine of $750-900, even if your license is suspended. Your best bet is a plea deal, but you are still looking at a lot of points in any deal.

Most likely you are facing a justice of the peace, they have very basic law training and they work with the troopers a lot - live in a small town with them and might even be related to the same people. Your best bet is a local attorney, they have already decided you are responsible before even showing up.

What town did you get this ticket in and When was your first appearance date, it must have been scheduled by now?

That makes sense, they only have court one day a week there - Wednesdays.

Not a great place to go in front of the Justice. Not a lot of locals that live there since its vacation spot and not cheap to get a place on the lake. The town likes to get as much from the travelers as they can between real estate taxes, fines etc.

Your best bet is to get a local attorney from Glens Falls and let them deal. I would suggest not going and letting the attorney handle it all.

Good Luck.

I own a Yukon XL with a Blackbear tune and I don’t doubt it can do 150. As for the NY terrain I have no idea what that’s like in regards to get up to 150.
