I was curious if there was a way to implement 'favorite/bookmark' to certain post to be able to reference later on in the future easily? I am not sure if this is even something possible, but I think it would be very helpful here on this forum. I was mentioned to a newer member about an out of tune gun in our local but I can't find the original post from a while back about it.

I do not want to 'favorite' the entire thread, but just one post in the thread. It could then be linked to our personal account here and accessible under our member page where 'recent activity,/postings/etc are located.

I would guess that something like this would be best kept private to that individual account holder and not for other members to see.

I could see something like this being a benefit to the site....just not sure if it is something that even is able to be done technology wise.

Other than that the site is beyond great!

The "Watch Thread" function is usually what people use for this type of thing, but you can't really do that for an individual post.

However, I've seen a couple "bookmarking" addons for XenForo here and there, and since we are upgrading from XenForo 1.x to 2.x come the new year, I will add this feature onto the list of addons that you guys would like to see here.

Now's your time - you and everyone else - if you want new functions/addons/features for RDF, please request them! XenForo 2.x is going to really bring this place into the future when it comes to mobile support and similar.

Would like to be able to perm ignore/hide a thread.
Ooh, yes please! Great suggestion. :)

The ability to hide a particular section of the forum from the "new posts," if that's easy to add at the same time, that'd be helpful too.

Thanks for noting it, @xydrine!

Indeed, that would be great, especially when paired with restoring the ability to mark a subforum as read from within that subforum and being able to mark entire sections as read (like General, Elevated Access, Laser Jammer Discussion, etc).

Yeah the XenForo 2.x upgrades have a lot of small bugfixes like that - but made a note to look at this when migrating as well.
