I got an ALP alert to Poliscan tonight in Nashville, TN on I-40. Did some quick Googling and it looks like they may have installed license plate readers on the overpass structure that I passed under shortly after the alert.

It was too dark to see any of the Vitronic Poliscan cameras, but the overpass structure looks like the ones they like to use.

The nearby Nashville city of Belle Meade, only 7 miles as the crow flies, has installed Vitronic police surveillance readers in a bunch of locations in that city. Looks like a trend has started.

But for those without jammers, don't worry....these cameras aren't for measuring speed. They're just to help police locate specific vehicles via license plate recognition. At the moment anyway - who can trust the big brother bastards. Get called in, and I'll bet they may well use the system to try to find us!

I believe you're being a bit naive. It's only a matter of time until they are measuring speed! In all seriousness, thanks for the heads up. We'll be in Nashville in the next for months for my Daughter's activities. I may have to take a break from cheerleading to go check it out.

Thanks for sharing. My butt puckered up a bit because I’ve been driving around Nashville this week...and been having fun in the camero I rented. Don’t want any tickets by mail!!!
