1) What is a point of Savvy GPS learn? Why not just set it and leave it to 45mph default, is this for someone who is worried about getting clocked in 25mph zone? Or what am I missing here?
2) V1D is too quiet, sound already at 10. I don't listen to radio too loudly and V1D alert sounds are too quiet. Is there a fix? Use HFP and Duck Music is already ON.
3) If I understand correctly, V1D drops 3 pins for stationary bogies and locks them out after 3rd encounter. Really cool feature. What is the time lapse on learning those 3 pins? For example ,what if I see police with Ka radar (Auto Learn Ka ON) in exactly same spot once per month: will V1D stay mute on the 4th time I go there? Or is this situation just impossible to replicate by movable object as its location and frequency will always be slightly off from previous time?
4) Once the location is locked out, does V1 beeping also gets muted ? or just V1Driver voice? Do lockouts expire ever?

I think that's it for now! Thank you!

There is about 10 Videos or so on YouTube for V1Driver, I think you should check them out, they should answer most of your questions.
You can also read all the tips on each option.

Try turning volume up on your Radio WHILE V1Driver is talking.

If you still have questions after that then feel free to repost here.

It's probably best NOT to learn Ka alerts as they are rarely false and should not be muted. I played with SAVVY learn and decided to just set SAVVY to 25 and that works for me.

I don't like the idea of turning detection off at or below a certain speed. I have had incidents where I have gotten no alert until I was sitting at a stop light. When the light turned green I was ready (to do the speed limit) in preparation for the instant on that was up ahead. If the detector had been silenced as I was stopped, I would have not gotten that warning.

I am not saying this happens a lot, just wondering why anyone would want to cut down on their situational awareness.

Then turn that off. The default is to not mute Ka Band at all and to Auto Mute as well as Savvy Mute only K-Band.
K-Band noise is so prevalent at a traffic light due to close proximity to many other cars with BSM that it becomes useless, desensitizing and annoying.

Personally I don't like setting Savvy to high, many people do. There is a huge gain say 0-20 MPH with little risk. But going higher the risk/reward increases.

V1 with an App is incredibly flexible, enough to tailor it to what ever your heart desires.

I agree. But I have since enabled Auto Mute on Ka since installing my V1 out of View and out of (easy) Reach in my Model 3 ;)

Also what's pretty cool on the Tesla's is when on Auto Pilot. It displays the posted Speed Limit Sign on the Display. If I tap the PSL Icon, the Car just goes right to that speed (smoothly - with brake lights if appropriate).
Too bad I can't integrate it.

Remember apps don’t suppress alerts totally, they reduce volume to the muted level. I leave that loud enough that I can hear it.
I keep my Lever at 0. A slight amount leaks through, usually inaudible with Radio/Road noise. Where I now have it out of View I probably should turn it up a little. But I often have tunes going at a moderately high level.
