I guess we’ll see what, if any, overscan there is past the segment boundaries.
There is zero overscan.

@BestRadarDetectors , thank you for this update. It’s a great interim option for us.

What notches are you all running? I’ve removed 5. Any others you are removing?

If there is zero overscan (which I can appreciate), how does this handle potential variations in frequency detection?

Is it possible for one detector to count a frequency of 24.197 while another of the same model to count 24.193 for the same source?

If so, this is probably going to work better for some than for others.

Educate me please. :)

The DSP antennas are very accurate. This is also not being handled by the DSP, The K Band notch filters are bring done by the ALP and preventing the alerts if they fall outside of a selected notch.

As BRD has said, I have found the DSP is very accurate (or at least consistent), it is almost always the exact same freq read out as my R3 which is the same engine platform..

It is for this reason I wish the Seg's were not rounded to .005's as in 24.195 to 24.205, but were instead like 24.197 to 24.204 for example, because they are that accurate and a couple of mhz could be saved for real alerts...the less notched frequencies the better in case you encounter the real deal because real K band could be almost anywhere in the spectrum.

I hear what you are saying, but for that range, my log of falses suggests that .195 to .205 is exactly what I’d want.

So I did the new FW and new Config. file...will see how it goes this week.

In quick testing I did see that the huge delay is still there on Traffic filter, I have seen between over 2 seconds to almost 7 seconds...wierd! With just K filter On my Redline with TSR On beats the NR about 80 percent of the time, ( about 8 out of 10 I can sneak shot past the NR that the Redline catches) :confused:.

These reactivity results are nothing new, been here since last FW, I was hoping it would get better... it basically matches the Uniden R 1.46 firmware pretty close and now with the Uniden R 1.48 being much better, except the MRCD questions, I hold hope that the NR will be updated soon when those things get sorted out.

I believe this update was mostly about falsing so I am anxious to see how much it helps.

Interesting note - I have noticed the reactivity is better with my Bushnell shooting 24.12x than it was with my Kustom Pro shooting 24.18x. I have 2 Kustom antennas with slightly different freq's I will see if they are any different when I get a chance.

Got FW update through Android App. Need to edit config file and give it test...

The TSR issue will be handled in a DSP update in the near future and will be more inline with the Uniden 1.48 update. This update was all ALP side so it will not have any effect on TSR settings.
