**Updated thread with FL meetup test results for future reference**

Hi all!

After posting this thread in the Placement Suggestion forum a month ago, I finally finished up installing the rear TMG heads on my Highlander today. Let me know what you think. Suggestions/concerns welcomed!

I also installed a simple kill switch around the center dash near the shifter and an auxiliary ignition-on fuse box under the dash by the passenger foot well. In addition to the TMG, R3, and a small underseat powered subwoofer, I also plan to add a dashcam and some interior footwell lights. Instead of adding a handful of fusetaps for everything, I figured this would be a "simpler" option. I'm gonna try and find a generic Toyota LED toggle switch to replace the switch, and I'll probably move the CPU to a more concealed location.

I leveled the TMG heads as best I could, but I may need to adjust them. Before I do that, I want to get them tested as is and then I'll decide if changes neeed to be made.

With the BF sale, I'm tempted to get a 4th head for the front and maybe a 3rd head for the back. Do you think that's overkill?

Anyways, here's some pics.

Great job on the install!

A third head on the back wouldn't hurt, especially if you encounter any VPR guns in Florida (which I think you do)!

Very nice install. How did you get Waze on the Toyota interface?

Yea, I believe the FHP use DE so I'm considering a 3rd in the back. Just not sure where I'd place it. I think I'd have to get a custom bracket made for possibly under the license plate? I think I read someone on the forums makes them. I'll have to look more into it.

I plan to wash my car tomorrow so I'll take some more pics. You're welcome to use the pics posted here if you like.

Pardon the dark pic, but that is not the OEM headunit. I installed a 9" Alpine HU with carplay/android auto.

Some BF/Cyber Monday shopping in.

- Got this Generic LED power Toyota switch to replace the switch I have in presently.
- A Uniden hardwire kit /mute button. Going to try and modify it to fit into one of my empty switch plates in the armrest console. That, or try and solder a momentary switch to have quick mutes without having to reach up for the R3.
- A Viofo A119 and an A119S for front and rear dash cams. Also got a couple hardwire kits I'll use to power the DCs and run them to my auxiliary fuse box.
- An extra TMG head/splitter cable.

Going to try and get them all installed this weekend, except for the TMG head. Still going to wait I get the current setup tested before I consider any changes.

I haven't encountered and FHP using DE yet. All the FHP's and pictures of I have found of FHP have all been Laser Atlanta's. That said the Dragoneye is permitted in FL (www.rdforum.org: FHP List of approved speed measureing devices (Radar and Laser))

I posted a few social media finds here: www.rdforum.org: FHP List of approved speed measureing devices (Radar and Laser)

You will notice that Boca Raton posted a picture or two of them running enforcement with dragoneye, so it is out there. I have yet to see any rear shots around me, that doesn't mean they don't or that they don't near you but I have yet to find it. So far I've had the following hits on ALP: two laser atlanta's via FHP on 95, an Ultralyte via palm beach moto cop, a truspeed S via palm beach county moto cop, and a Stalker XLR via Martin County Moto Cop. All front shots.

Yeah, I saw your thread with the social media posts. And that's what prompted me to possibly pursue getting a DE. Not because of what's currently being used in Dade, but because of the possible appearance of it in the future, and just wanting to try and mitigate any vulnerabilities in my setup.

Worked on the setup a little after work today. Swapped the seat heater controls to under the dash where the TMG killswitch and a blank switch plate was, and also inserted the front trim of the uniden hardwire kit. Still need to figure out a way to secure the hardwire kit underneath the trim. Unfortunately, I don't think the cables will be long enough to reach the fuse box and R3 from this location so I'll extend the power/ground wires, and get a coupler/telephone cord extension. I like this location more since my arms is usually resting on the middle console with a hand over the shift.

Installed the Uniden mute switch and switched out the TMG's generic push button killswitch for a Toyota OEM-like push button switch. Also installed a Viofo A119 in the front, but didn't take any pics. I still have an A119S to install in the rear at a later date.
