Always had Escorts, purchased new Uniden R3 about 2 months ago. Learning as I go, put into my 18 Colorado ZR2, keeping Redline in my Yukon.

Welcome aboard, sounds like you might need to migrate to some active counter measures. But Laser is kind of inconsistent so you have time.
With all the traffic, laser bounce or whatever it would be called...a tick on the R3 is your friend.

Welcome to the RD Forum!

The R3 is a top tier Radar Detector. Using any other available counter measures?

I am the perfect example that old dogs CAN learn new tricks! This Forum is packed with tons of useful information from best detector for where you live and drive mostly (so far there is NOT a single detector that is best for everyone/everywhere), proper mounting possibilities, additional counter measures, fast but intelligent driving habits, and of course @Vortex videos!

R3 is a good all around detector, strong on radar, weak on laser. It'll be your little guardian of the wallet.
