Ming and his team have put out a tweak for the LRB/Ultralyte 100/125 pps. The new Alglo is on the original TMG Defender app in the Google Play store. You must un-install the Laser Defender CPU control firmware app. The app will get over-written. The TMG defender app must have a UDT tab in the far right side of the screen. JBV1 and the TMG Remote App, do not support updates from the TMG servers.

If you ordered a dual or Quad today, i have already pre-loaded 8.02.

Thanks,
-Jared

Any chance of parking sensor capability in the near future?

Nothing to resolve. We made a decision early on to have a receive/alert only mode not a parking mode. The entire reason some went parking mode is to "dodge" the legal aspect of having a jammer active. We achieved that without sacrificing memory space etc.

To those that might feel like the app stuff for various updates and such is a bit underdeveloped;

That's what the majority of us wanted at first. Get us the working product and refine it later.

I'm more than happy to have to jump through a few extra hoops to update firmware and algorithms with different apps on a product that is installed and in use rather than waiting for every little detail being addressed first. :)

Just to make sure...
Uninstall the "updated" LD app that we used to install the other new firmware.
Install the older LD original app.
Install the new 8.02 firmware.

and this will work with the JBV1 app we have currently for TMG

I hope my post about this helps. Someone correct me if needed!

There are only two apps from TMG that we've used.

One is the standard Laser Defender (currently at v1.2) that is also available in the play store. This is the app you might use with the TMG everyday and will also let you update algorithms with the button on the lower right.

The other is CTRL_Update from the TMG page. This is not from what I can tell meant to be used daily. It looks like a variation of the Laser Defender app that is configured to download and update firmware.

I suspect that since the two apps are nearly the same, you can't have both on your phone at the same time. (I personally have saved both .apk files so that I can load at will)

Now, once you use Laser Defender to update algorithms OR CTRL_Update to update the firmware, either/both of those can be deleted from your phone entirely. The firmware and algorithms are stored in the TMG unit.
Any other apps that rely on a particular firmware are only interacting with the TMG itself, not the TMG apps. Also, algorithms are not interacted with by other apps and they aren't aware of the algorithm sets.
It's the firmware that contains the programming and commands that other apps can interface with.

:)

I just keep the Google Play ALGO update app on one phone and the CTRL update app on another.

I believe I got the algro loaded ok as the CPU said finished. What I am not sure about, if it was the correct version or not. I can't find any reference to a 8.02 version?

So I presume the parking mode is a no go?

Damn I blame myself for not researching this before purchasing .

So receive only mode instead of parking.
So you have a laser detector instead of parking sensors.

I'm sure you can quickly turn around your tmg's here on the fourm if you are unhappy? Dont know if they have a 30 day return policy

I updated 14 CPU's last night, i did see 8.02 pop up in the status bar under the police head about half of them. It seems like it's variance of the phones and tablets.

@tempnexus "Parking sensor feature" was never listed as a feature. We stressed back in May, this was not a priority. This is always an option for the future though. Stay tuned.

ok... I didnt know it was 2 separate programs. They looked alike to me except the button on the bottom right. I thought the 2nd one was an upgrade of the other. I dont use either one to run the cpu, I use the jbv1 app. AND I was getting the firmware and algo aspect of the system mixed up thinking they were the same. Pretty sure I understand whats going on now. Thanks
