Hey everyone,

Figured I would join this forum to keep up to date with all the analysis and advancements in radar detection. I started out with the Escort Passport 8500 x50, then the Black edition... then I jumped to the Uniden R3 earlier this year. The 8500's were great... but the R3 is just awesome with the range and GPS-enabled features and has been extremely helpful in the Tri-State area.

Look forward to being a part of the community!

Welcome to the RD Forum!

R3 is a top tier detector. Using any other available counter measures?

I am the perfect example that old dogs CAN learn new tricks! This Forum is packed with tons of useful information from best detector for where you live and drive mostly (so far there is NOT a single detector that is best for everyone/everywhere), proper mounting possibilities, additional counter measures, fast but intelligent driving habits, and of course @Vortex videos!

Besides the R3, I frequently use the Waze app during my travels.. try to help others and also get a feel for areas that I am not completely familiar with from other Wazers' marks. I will definitely be looking around to see how I can optimize my setup!
