What if no one has gone by that part yet and they just set up?
Rabbit sacrifice is the only option then
Or a radar detector with better range...lol Watching that interview I just feel that the management realizes they are "outgunned" in the range department. And..instead of working on improving the range---they are coming up with "other" ideas. Sad.
I’m no so sure that range as good as the redline ...(. I heard it held the record at 12 miles...) is such an advantage........pretty happy with directional warning ....rear detection saved me 2 weeks ago .........to much forward range my make for a very unpleasant drive ......am really happy to have a couple of mile warning with the 360c.....driving in Vegas with lO you can’t drive without arrows ...
Will Escort keep their products updated with full support, firmware ? Or will they abandon a current product completely in favor of developing a new product W/O supporting the older product. ALP and Net radar is a great example of continued support as time goes by. Compared to Escort 9500 CI that now is obsolete with no support and 9500IX that Escort is still selling SMDH
It is going to be interesting to see if Escort is really trying to move into the future with reliable, industry leading products or is just the continuation of a company that is on life support. I've only had Escort RD's, and I'm hoping they can turn it around.
I returned my 360c to best buy
It has great bsm filtering
Range was average
Arrows were nice
Quick to react to io
Bt wouldn't connect to my pixel 2 phone
Nobody uses escort live.
Very high price for what it offers.
BUT......Escort Live is the future!! Gives everyone UNLIMITED RANGE!! There are 43 billion people on it!
Escort live really works for me.... range is really overrated.( I really don’t care what KA is doing to 200 miles away while I’m driving ) ...I really know that everyone here knows that a threat data base is the future.....oh sure there are bugs in every new technology ...but.....I still have to reboot my Home PC from time to time cause the damn thing won’t shut off ....nothing is ever going to be perfect.... but a threat database and arrows are the future anything less is really old technology no matter how you look at it....escort is providing the future....Arrows/ Database/Excellant False Filtering....and WiFi....(Really love updating my detector off of my home Wi-Fi without running around with wires and a laptop..(again the Future)....only takes two minutes while I listen to my radio.....no I don’t work for escort ...I just have tested my 360c for 11months and 15,500 miles in the City and Highway...and am very pleased
Escort live is not new technology
Its been operating for years and years and when you call Escort about different problems youre experiencing with the app or service after a half dozen calls they simply will tell you we dont know
The engineers are working on it
Thats unacceptable for years and years especially without bullet point resolution of the problems
My question would be, does Escort have a future? Churning out solutions in search of problems (why are they still selling the 9500x), the IX will not be updated despite what they said to buyers (hey, you can now buy an IXC), I give up.
43,975,528,105 actually. Billions and billions served. Oh, that was McDonalds
We will see how long this new management team lasts. It's been 7 CEOs in 6 years...hopefully this team can stick around longer. But it's tough being owned by bankers that don't care about radar detectors.
I had maybe two active escort alerts from Arizona to Illinois within 48 hours...that very low use rate. I was submitting alerts like crazy
Which department at Escort do you work at? Is this the new CEO?!!! Haha. Kidding! Glad you like it. I just haven't really heard the same experience from many other users.
I love the super long range the R series gives me. There are times when I'm like ..."wait a minute. I have to find this LEO. This is crazy!" Then I find them and I just stare at the Uniden. From having one in 1991? (Don't do the math) To now. Wow. Talk about a leap in engineering!
sounds like the 360 c was doing a great job...but with a pixel 2 not connected thru escort live .......( you mentioned you had trouble with the pixel 2 not connected to BT .) you wouldn’t have been receiving alerts or automaticly transmitting alerts to Escort...you Need a Good apple iPhone or android phone....remember alerts are good for 90 minutes unless the threat is captured again by another Escort live user and resubmitted to escort live ...this avoids stale alerts........you know you want that 360c back.....but I understand the Ford
/Chevy thing.....I’m a Ford man....but I do like that White Chevy Camero that Dr How has.....Nice....
Are there a lot of people on here that use Escort live and think it's valuable? I've never used it. So I don't know
I use it often where I drive, normally have a bout a dozen or so KA alerts on it at any given time. My only gripe is that it reports Laser and KA hits automatically. If i get a 33.8 false, boom there it is. Same thing with laser falses on my EX. I can be driving on a country road 20 miles from the nearest town and a car with laser cruise control approaches me, then bam, laser reported on a road that gets 100 cars per hour.
Last week I came across a legit cop sitting in a KA spot on the map. Got buzzed with I/O. It def has helped me, but more often than not, littered with falses.
This is what I have been experiencing a lot. I feel the automatic reporting is more harmful than good. Escorts for some reason are prone to 33.8 false alarms. My guess is leaky detectors.
I connected through the phones hotspot, the gps is intermittent really bad in Android 9, even tried the whitelist hack and nothing. It's about unusable unless they update the app to work in Android 8+
staying on topic I really hope the management can do something to revitalize the company as competition is healthy for the industry and provides us with choices.
