The mount it comes with keeps me from mounting it level to the window in certain vehicles. The max360 I used to have stuck out a little further past the edge but this one don't. Is there any other mounts I can use other than the escort one?

Well that is certainly a PIA. Is that a magnetic mount?

Yeah, my v1 has the same issue so I have to put it in a cell phone holder mount but the ex is too heavy for it

Not sure they have a blend mirror mount for a semi. Not a big reason to have a inside windshield rear view mirror. :)

They do make a blend suction cup mount. Or someone like them makes one. Used that on odd mounting for V1. It attached to the V1 mount, which then the blend like mount replaced the suction cups, them extended and stuck to windshield. I can dig that out and find the brand. They might have something.

Do Jeep wranglers have this issue?

So much for unicorn mag mount. Imagine a Pro M or R3 mount. Bend the heck out of those mounts to “go vertical”.

I do drive away transport, so it's mostly RVs and occasionally box trucks and semi tractors. Need a birddog to get through Indianapolis in a reasonable amount of time.

Got that! Got a chuckle about Indy. So true related to the small amount of hours a day the traffic is not a mess. Rest of the time, would be nice to have a “anti traffic jammer” on hand. :)

No option to mount high? Maybe a bin to reverse mount a visor mount or something

Have you tried Amazon? They have radar detector mounts for almost everything.

You may have to Frankenstein something together like a multi-link Blendmount attached to the sticky cup or something along those lines.

Have you tried a camera mount from ebay or something similar? You can use the one part (half of the mount) from the axis and above and attach the down part that has the magnetic mount.

You'll need to fabricate a standard garmin-like ball mount with the magnet from the original escort mount. Breakout the hot glue!

What about a visor mount?

Take a pic of the dash/cockpit area to see what were working with for options?

I wonder if a "suction cup spacer" in the form of a flexible but firm and non-porous "doughnut" would work in between the cup and the windshield?

Maybe something like this?

You probably wouldn't need much more than a half of an inch.

Unfortunately it's an issue escort didn't think of when designing the mount. I might order an extra one to hack apart and modify.

How would the donut attach to the windshield?

In theory, one side would seal against the windshield via suction from the suction cup through the donut hole and the other side would seal against the suction cup.

Hmm... maybe. Not sure where he’d get such a thing.
