My ALP is North America region coded. However I've been using it satisfactorily in South America. Probably cause down there the most popular guns are the same Ultralytes or Truspeeds used in USA.
I have a pair of sensors in front and in the back, it have been working fine, however it seems that it stop giving warning when firing from behind sometimes, as I have been passing by guns firing from the back.
    My questions:

    - when I turn the system on, after a minute or so I get the beeps and the voice: " interference defense active", then the blue light starts blinking. May I assume my system is working fine?
Or is it possible to get a failure on rear detection and jamming whithout notice from the self test?

    - I've noticed the warning/jamming range have been consistently about 1.000 feet, on strainght line and good weather. Is it acceptable?

    Thanks!

    Doug

I believe for it to say Interference Defense Active, that means that it is in Pro mode where it will voice that as well as only alert when you are actively being hit with laser. That means its alerting and then when the laser is taken off of your car, it stops.

I think. Someone should probably confirm this

Are you saying that as you pass the Lidar source it will alert from the front first but not the back?, Or your saying that the Lidar source only shoots as you pass it and shoots the back of your car and doesnt alert?. If thats the case its probably a gun that is not used in North America.

This is normal ALP behavior. If there was an error with the system it would alert you to whatever the error is at initial first start up during self checks..

Here in South America, it is common to have used old guns, Riegl LR90-235P is one of them. They look in some places for the front plate and in other regions the rear plate, are mounted on a tripe and are camouflaged behind guard raills. ALP does not detect, I got some tickets from the police. I tested both CPUs from different regions.

I do not have the 2 Cpus installed simultaneously, today I'm using it is from the South America region

    Hi wijes,

We are playing in the same turf...so if I get you right even the South America CPU doesn't give you any alert?
    That's crazy!
I've been using the NA CPU with fairly good results, but there are some instances that I got no alert from my ALP. Thank God waze was up and running!

    Hello Doug,

I'm in the same area as you, for new guns the ALP is very efficient and has no warning issues, unfortunately in our area they are using the RIEGL LR90-235 and the RVG Speed Control that are controlled here by Fiscaltech, if you wish to talk more about sending me a private message. Waze for it is good solution.

For ultralytes, marksman, truspeed when detected in our area has been working very well, but for old gun also used here not

See it: www.fiscaltech.com.br: MOBILE SPEED CONTROL – Fiscaltech
