They just get back from sema and instead of unwinding. it’s back to work to make their products even better!!!!

    Simply amazing. Wow!!!

Well, I'm really hoping Randy, Mindy, and Jon aren't the ones sitting at a computer typing in and confirming GPS coordinates for all the cameras.

    That's what interns are for.

Wow, I didn't know we had interns. I wish someone would have told me!

BTW: all three of us have typed those damn coordinates in

What? You didn’t get the memo from Jon???

Is the RLC for both the Pro-M and RC-M?

And in the future Randy, what’s easier? Addresses or Photos with GPS coordinates? Does it matter?

Correct, we will update the date on the RC M update site today but they both have the same camera database.

A e-mail to our support department with any information you can give us. The more the better, especially if you can send us a link directly to the government's website that has a full list of them.

Edmonton guys becareful on redlight cam alerts. I updated the db last night and went for a short drive. I only went by 1 camera location that I posted 75st 98ave and it didn’t alert. So I’m not sure what camera locations on my list are in the db

Will do more driving to confirm location alerts

I am so tired of these crappy databases. All manufacturers are buying from the same three companies and they all are terrible and are rarely updated. The update process is archaic, with us manually editing CSVs that are then never converted properly by them. We need a whole new approach to this. Even more so because we are all being charged a fee PER DETECTOR that we sell.

I wish there was some sort of database that was community generated and community edited and give the user control over when to update.

I would even be willing to work with other manufacturers to have a community defined standard for an open database and all agree to implement it.

Some of these cameras aren't actually activated yet. You can see they are activated once they appear on the Edmonton intersection safety device locations map. This was even mentioned in a media article a few months back.

There's no way to access the data outside of Waze, and so far they haven't mentioned anything about selling or licencing the data to 3rd parties (that I know of).

Exactly. We should all just make our own countermeasures focused database.

That’s brutal. If there is an ongoing fee. There needs to be timely universal updates

It's ridiculous, and it's an expensive fee too. The reason they can get away with it is because all of the databases are equally bad..so we have no choice.

A great business opportunity, when there's a bad product that's also expensive, plenty of room to provide a better product at a lower price. :)

    @Dukes

I sure hope there’s a grace period for that 153 ave-Manning camera lol.

Coming home from work with zero traffic at 5:30 am on a Saturday morning, that could be a healthy ticket. Lol.

On the other hand, I’m wondering how the NoPhoto plate on the truck did against the Mesta Fusion?
