Who was harassing me on I-294, this past Wednesday evening (10/26). He must have seen my V1 running. My laser detection kept going off. Behind me, in front of me, and then a lot more times behind me. Every couple of minutes. We both took the I-394 South exit. He was right behind me until a female playing Chicago Chicken (her beater vs your nice car), slipped in between us.

Never heard the laser detector go off after that humiliation. (Ha ha). Hope you didn't get caught by the Illinois State Trooper running Ka band down by the RT 30 exit.

Be Safe!

The laser ACC on some Mazda 3's will cause V1s to alert. Probably wasn't a forum member with a LIDAR gun :)

Yup. Mazda lidar ACC sets off v1s and cobras like crazy. It's quite fun.

The driver had a big ass grin on his face, so I thought he was messing with me.

Good to know.

This is the LIDAR unit on mazdas 2014-2017. It's designed to cover about 100m in front of the car. It is also designed to cover the width of the bumper. So inherently with that range as well as the width, it tends to like to scatter a lot.

I was parked next to a guy who had a v1 in his car so our front ends were facing off of the side of a mountain basically and that was still enough to set off his v1 laser alert constantly
