Radenso Pro M Firmware update now available (US 13)

Update: 14 is now available, the only change from 13 to 14 is the default factory settings. You do not have to update to 14.

If you own our Radenso Pro M there is a new firmware update now available on the Radenso website! Please be sure to also download the latest updater program.

Radenso Firmware Update

New Features
- "Radenso Pro M" logo is now displayed at bootup
- Ka band segmentation! Select "Ka Narrow" and you will have individual options to turn on/off 33.8, 34.3, 34.7 and 35.5.
- 3 button mute, during a alert if you do a single press of any button on top of the Pro M will mute the alert.
- Ka band will alert with one single beep when under AutoCity speed.
- GPS lockout window has been extended to 3 seconds after the alert ends.
- Ka band sound has been improved to have higher pitch.
- K band sound had been improved to have lower pitch.
- K and Ka band sounds are now balanced in volume and "attention grabbing".

Improvements
- "False alert area added" voice alert and "Ka radar alert" volume has been increased.
- If brightness setting is anything but "Bright" you will always start scrolling through options with Bright.
- Auto City mode and minimal speed for radar alert no longer mutes laser alert.

Thank you everyone!

It’s great to see the updates coming in. I miss the mini size of my old RPSE.

I can't wait to see the volume and tone change as I like my music loud.

--- DOUBLEPOST MERGED ---

Good to know segmentation is being added, as I get quite a few 34.3 falses here in SoCal. Much appreciated.

Slightly off topic (didn't want to create a separate threar): are firmware updates for the XP in the works in the foreseable future? Planning on getting it for my dad, would be great if Radenso continued supporting it. Thanks.

Yes, but the XP is a pretty stable and mature detector at this point. We are not aware of any bugs that need fixing and it already has things like KA band segmentation, etc. If we figure things out like better BSM filtering or something we will include it for sure, but right now I don't really see any glaring faults with the unit. We have been focusing more on some other things with it, like upgrading the accessories (we just invested in tooling for the new mute cord that is now included with all of them). The XP will not be EOL for a while, so buy with confidence.

Sounds great. Not going to lie, I liked mine when I had it.
I only wished you would add the same mute mode as that of the ProM. But other than that the XP is great.

Would have liked to see option to mute photo radar countdown on the two I pass every day. In the dead and dark of morning it's a bit jarring.

I would think as MRCD is K Band , albeit MUCH lower Freq they would just use the K Band Alert for MRCD, but alas I'm fairly certain it has its own tone too.

Alrighty then! So who's going to post their settings???!

I'm going to run through the new options--am not accustomed to selecting segmentation via frequency, rather by band per EX, R3, etc...... is 34.3 OFF the equivalent of having bands 2/5/8 enabled on the other RDs?

Thanks!!! to Radenso, and the forum members for not flaming me!

34.3 is not used in the USA, and I personally run it disabled. I leave everything else on.

Agree.

I jump around on 33.8 as well. Most of the time I leave it on, but 99.9% any alert there has been a cobra. I just can’t bring myself to totally shutting it down.

There was a post about 34.3 falses being 35.5. Was that an actual bug or something different?

Most likely a overload filter on the 34.3
On the "decision" on whether and how to respond to the proposed threat. IMHO. I'll bet if you disable 34.3 that won't be an issue any longer.
