Very nice! And I've never seen the displays put on the drivers hand rest like that, seems like a great idea! And the V1 CD looks awesome!

Killer set-up and dig the detailed install pics. How many hours did you spend on that job? Sweet set-up for sure. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. Total time is probably up to around 10 hours now. It's tough to say, the Sti-R Plus and LI's took the longest. Actually, fishing the damn door was more time consuming than I thought. I think it was around 8 hours for the complete LI and Plus install. I originally had all Blinders on my car, I think the rear took about an hour or two, the concealed display took about 2 hours...Hmmm maybe it was around 12 hours....I'll say between 8 and 12 hours :D

+1 on the install. Great V1 install, did you get a kill switch for it?

Not sure if I would personally like the STi R display location, but on the other hand, it's very stealthy.

Thanks. I do like it there, but I have thought about throwing it in high in the cluster panel. I just don't feel like rewiring it. The LI kill switch kills the V1.

Up to you, but I think that's the way to go.

The LI kill switch kills the V1.
There are times when you JTK, and you'd still want to know if you're being targeted with LIDAR, so this will not allow you to do so.

Cliff also recommends running the LI on it's own separate circuit. Again, your call. :)

Thanks. As far as separating the circuit https://www.rdforum.org/general-radar-detector-discussion/2817-1-amp-what-will-get-ya.html. So I'm not quite sure where you are going w/ that. I'll give Cliff a call tomorrow and talk w/ him about it though. The Sti-R plus has taken care of the laser hits after JTK. Appreciate the constructive criticism, it's how new ideas are made. I just need to find some time and replace those rear heads!

Great install. Best placement for a V1, or any Radar detector really.
I'm dreading installing all these things in my car. I have even less space for the spaghetti.

Nice install, one of the more complex installs I've seen. Cool place for the Plus controls and display.

You were able to cram the CPUs next to the instrument cluster like that? I'm surprised there was room, but then, it's under/inside the dash, so I guess anything is possible. Can you hear the LI's audio ok?

After all that work, hopefully you plan on keeping that car for a while!

The Sti-R plus has taken care of the laser hits after JTK.
The only problem with that is the Plus's laser alert lingers long after they stop shooting.

Good work. My plus install was done quick and so temporary. As I get time ill be mounting the components better similar to you. I really hope my mirror works out to house the display.

Yes! Lots o' stuff in there. It turned out to be a very nice hollow spot. With the LI having the Bel speaker on it, it's loud and crystal clear. Hoping the car lasts forever. I plan on giving it to my son in 3 years when he can drive.

We shall try again! All bets are off when Rob comes to shoot though!

Are you modifying the factory mirror yourself? Would love to see detailed pictures of this.
