So, are you going to bump back to 1.37....or wait for a while?

Just curious how many are ready to throw in the towel and bump back to 1.37? Or are you going to give it some time and wait for more testing?

Absolutely not, at least for me. This is a great update, and i am sure the bugs will get sorted out quickly. I prefer a few more BSM falsing over a detector that i am unable to mute (in case of RLC muting issue in 1.37).

I'm all in. I like a lot in this update in regards to the interface (e.g., simple things like the AM/PM looks much nicer/cleaner, the added dimming options in dark mode, etc.), and the added tweaks. I just hope I don't experience any lags on the K. But not much real world testing as of yet (ONLY 1 day of usual driving). Time will tell, however, unless there is some glaring issue with this, I'm staying current.

I want to, based on the BSM issues. But as others have said, I like the interface and really want to avoid the burn-in issues.

Still on the fence! Haha. Hoping they give us the TSF option though!!

    Staying on 1.37.

BSM filtering is my #1 priority in K band land. Everything else is window dressing.

1.37 has a K filter and a TMF filter that assists the K filter in a positive way without leaving me exposed to I/O shots.

Avoiding "imperial entanglements" is what I have a detector for, that's what I need it to do, without compromise.

Don't get me wrong: I would like more lockouts, a bogey tone, RLC muting, and possible MRCD/T detection should that show up around here, but today 1.37 functions better for what I NEED to work correctly. I need to know when a cop is a cop, and a false is a false correctly as often and as quickly as possible.

I think making this call depends on your priorities and where you live. I have always ran my R3 in Highway mode with K filter on, K narrow and with TSF off so there is no advantage at all for me to stay on 1.37 and 1.46 has the bogey counter and frequency change alert that I've wanted along with some other goodies.

If I lived in BSM hell and used to use TSF set to on as a hack to mitigate those BSMs, I might stay on 1.37

Based on the the 1.46 thread, I'm pretty wary of updating. I have enough 24.198-24.203s in my area as is that I'm constantly pressing mute or passing.

Please teach me the way of this TSF hack.

I think I'm staying on 1.46 for now, but I'm going to raise quiet ride to 80mph. The R3 is definitely chirpier than it was on 1.37.

I love the 1.46 bogey alerts and the brightness settings in dark mode. But....

I decided to go back to 1.37 due to the TSF reasons I alluded to in another thread.

I appreciate Unidens efforts with updates. I’m also glad Uniden gives the option of reverting to previous firmware.

Definitely staying with if for now.....Never had a burn in issue with any of my R's but will do everything to prevent it if I can....Have quickly become fond of the new factory set red display after using white only since it was available....Love the new options in Dark Mode....Still trying to grasp the increased BMS at the same time looking for some real world K band encounters to compare to 1.37....Have only updated on 1 of the R's but have no fear of updating the others as well as the option to go back is always there....

Heading back to 1.37. Can't take all the BSM'S now...especially the distance of them! Hopefully they bring back the TSF filter that was used before, so we can enjoy the newer features with that filter in there as well!
