Yeah, i really need the Nav for traffic and would prefer to not run 2 apps for the same thing. But i may at some point if it has enough benefit.

Here's a sneak peek at a new feature in 1.2.1: V1 Quick Change

Ever wanted to quickly change a V1 option? I have. Double tap the v1 settings display area at the bottom of the screen and you get a set of toggles to quickly enable/disable an option with one touch. If the change matches another saved profile, the profile name will be changed accordingly. Otherwise, a new Unknown profile will be created.

It isn’t always double LEO alerts. More importantly in the last 3 weeks I have had 7 LEOs alerted on JBV1 that never showed on Wayes! Two saved me Lidar tickets and one helped me let off the gas on the alert and start coasting then I received a short Ka I/O hit, get on the brakes, another short I/O hit, at PSL now, then hit hard and long with Ka I/O. No Ticket!

I have yet to have a LEO alert show up on Wayes that wasn’t on JBV1 so I prefer the CSA alerts as they have saved me at least $800! JBV1 CSA alerts are a much more thorough picture of the threats on the roads, especially overpasses and ramps, and are now my primary with Wayes as mainly just for directions and traffic now.

You don't know it yet, but respectfully, you are missing the point of CSAs. I thought the same way at first. :)

I'm always running Wayse in the foreground and JBV1 in the background. JBV1 pops through with the overlay for alerts. See attachments from the demo.

There is no navigation in JBV1. Crowd Sourced Alerts are alerts only. They are Crowd Sourced from a reliable source in a WAY.
You do need (if I may be so bold) duplicate LEO reports in this scenario. 1-2+ miles ahead with JBV1, 0.5 miles with your standard Wayse. You should also continue to contribute via Wayse as it's the WAY to go.

Totally get it. But i rely on my RD for saves and Waze mostly for traffic navigation. It sucked when Waze limited there distance to .5mi, so CSA will have a huge advantage.

Ill get to trying out CSA, but after my mute issues think i am going to ease into the rest of the features just so i am sure they work 100% for me.

Looking forward to trying it out.

For the cost of a bit more data use, you can run both. It appears CSA's may alert quicker than Ways, while Waze will give you your nav and traffic benefits, plus user input.

Just to chime in on the "Why use CSA when I use Wayse as well?"

We just returned from a trip to Mass. Twice during the drive, for whatever reason, the actual Wayze app stopped showing me LEO alerts. But I was still getting them from JBV1. One of those times was a legit NY State Trooper sitting on the side of the road.

Some screenshots of 1.2.1 new features in action...

New alert map icons and color coding for CSA (blue = 0 thumbs up, red = > 0 thumbs up), and 3d option enabled. Also, battery voltage is relocated, visible in portrait mode only when big speedo is visible (no priority alert), and color coded to battery voltage health (green = good). There's also a new, more attention-getting audible notification when a brand new alert appears less than one mile ahead.

And the new Alert Recall feature. Swipe left or right in an empty area of the alert screen to see recent alerts in a configurable time frame (5 - 30 minutes). Meter shows initial and max strengths, if different, color coded to orientation.

    Hey @johnboy00,

    Looking great!
I ran across something today in this same vein.
I was on the phone so a Speed trap Mark was not announced. I realized within a few minutes that I had missed an alert and that there doesn't seem to be user mark alerts in the overlay.
Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Yeah, marks don't appear in the overlay. Never have. I've been meaning to do something about that, but never got around to it. I'll see if I can by the weekend.

No hurry on my account. :) It's a rare scenario most likely.

To be honest, I never really used the marks feature except when testing it, until I added the RLC and speed camera databases from poi-factory. I just never got around to adding it to the overlay, because I never use that either. I love looking at the alert screen. :)

I could have sworn that they did. Granted, it's been a while since I've passed by an area that I marked, but I thought it DID show on the overlay. I must be getting senile.

Marks in overlay, with bearing and range to mark, in next release.
