One thing I haven’t cared for on the GT-360 is the shiny orange bezel around the display that reflects sunlight into your eyes. I saw an article on blacking out shiny chrome trim with vinyl and thought it might do the trick. I got some Oracal 651 black matte vinyl, removed the bezel and wrapped it. Seems okay to cover up the loud orange and reduce the glare.

I have never worked with this material so my first attempt has a few bubbles and wrinkled edges but the glare is much better. I think I’ll try again and see what the learning curve is like and how many tries it takes to get a smooth finish.

You can hit the wrinkles with some heat from either a heat gun (low setting) or a hair dryer on high. Heat shrinks vinyl. Test it on a piece of scrape first.

Looking good. Before you know it you'll be finding other things to wrap !

That looks great. I personally don’t care for the factory bezel color.

Wow..... That really makes the detector look good! I'm not a fan of the factory colors either.

Heat tightens it up beautifully!

It looks much better. Now if I could find a treatment for the buttons on top of the case.......
