Beltronics Magnum Not Picking Up DALA Or DETC (1 Viewer)

I just purchased a Bel Magnum from Hidden Cam. So I decided to run it through a couple tests. It alerted to the LTI 20/30. But I got nothing when I tried to use my DALA and DETC. Is this typical??

Yes, I don't know that VPR guns were out even at the last firmware update of the redline/magnum. So it essentially ignores them as sun interference.

You got me interested in checking my Escort RedLine which is the M3 platform just like the Beltronics Magnum. The Escort RedLine I have is dated 50-16 and shipped with the BS/RDR firmware from the factory. I can confirm it did alert to my older model DETC with ECCM on, and ECCM off. I will post a full video in advanced later today, and possibly a trimmed down one here later today as well.

No that is not normal, unless something changed in a recent FW update. My Magnum (and Redline O mfg 4-15) will pick up the DETC. How far apart were they when you tested them?

If you were under 750ft it may of missed the beam
Under 400ft most times it cant see it

Very true. Or it could be too close. My R1 would not detect the DETC @ 20 ft. (a direct aim) but at 100 ft. or longer and it would detect it. Not that I am recommending this as a primary countermeasure.

Edit: the failure to alert at really close distance could be due to saturation of the photodetector. The signal is so strong it goes into the power supply rails and you can't get an accurate measurement of PPS.
